Know This Purple Flower?

I've been watching this bulb grow every Easter for over 20 years. I still don't know what its called or what it is. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

The fuzzy photo is from years ago when it grew more vibrantly (before digital cameras).

It has grass growing out of the top, it has six-pointed purple stars, and only shows up on or around easter.

Thanks for putting me on a track. From looking through other photos most of the day, I think it might be some sort of "Allium".

I agree with Gidget. I think it is an onion family member
