knowing your in a dream...

hey everyone, wanted to share something that happens to me quite often and wanted to know if anyone else experiences it.

During dreams I sometimes realize that I am indeed in a dream. When this happens sometimes I like to use my imagination and sometimes I like to close my eyes (in my dream) and I will then go to a more conscious state of mind where all I see is black but I gain more control of my mind and can choose to wake up.... Anyone else have any related experiences?

I have that most of the time, the weirdist thing that happened to me (I was in hospital on morphine, maxed out )..... but I was dreaming(tripping) within a dream, that was ace ....then again I always have bizarre dreams, one of my favourite things, is dreams

Its called lucid dreaming. Example, i just woke up and the dream i had was quite real. Ok i was in my trailers back yard looking at the trailer behind mine, then all of a suddon i was in my living room watching a documentary about this man that got stuck in a hose while he was watering his plants. Just a ordarny garden hose. And when he came out he was a man but shaped like a dog for some reason. And when i went back outside the man dog was standing at my back porch and he bit me. So this is when i figured out i was dreaming, but i had gotten bit just yesterday by my own dog so i think that had an influence. But anyway when he bit me i got mad in my dream and i picked up him and slammed his head into my washing machine and i drowned him and killed the poor thing. But when i chose to kill him i chose to do that. So to be able to control your dreams you have to know your dreaming.

Yep, when you know you're dreaming you can do pretty much anything you want.

I find it very interesting that when i close my eyes IN MY DREAM, I get to a more conscious mind state.


oh and if you haven't seen inception yet, c1 go go go!

I had a buddy of mine die earlier this year and his family wont say what from. I suspect it was suicide because why wouldn't they want to tell anybody why he died.

Anyway a cpl of weeks ago I had this dream and he was in it and it seemed so real.

In my dream I went up to him and said that it can't be because you are dead. A cpl of our friends were there and they assured me that he wasn't dead but in the dream I said to myself that this had to be a dream and started to smack my face repeatedly with my hands trying to wake myself up. After repeated slaps in the face I never woke up and said that he must be alive.

When I woke up in the morning I was questioning myself as to whether he was still alive until I realized that it was in fact a dream.

This was the first time I ever had a dream where I realized that I was in dream only to realize that it wasn't a dream. lol Then waking up in the morning and questioning the dream and realizing that it was actually a dream.

It was kinda weird because I hadn't thought about him in months and now I was having a dream were he was alive. It's weird what actually goes on in our subconscious mind when we dream.

ive had a couple dreams where i was being raped by miley cirus, they where pretty real. Traumatized me for life.

I rearly have dreams sounds cool tho
