Kratom? looking for advice

Hello all, so i have been looking into Kratom a lot lately as an alternative to opiates for pain relief. currently i have been issued 7.5/325 norcos' but unfortunately my Torrance has sky rocketed in a very short period and i find myself not able to make a 30 day supply last longer than two weeks. i had heard of Kratom before but never really paid it much mind (when i first heard of it JWH had just hit the scene and i figured it was like Salvia or spice and therefore not worth reasearch) fast forward to today, i was on facebook and something hit my wall and i started reading, read through erowid trip reports and this stuff really looks like a contender

looking for first hand experiences, preferably somone who has expirance with opiates in moderate to high levels, how does it compare. if it helps my highest opiate does to date was 40mg of Oxy and 30mg of morphine.

It should help with pain or give you a mild buzz with your tolerance. Remember if you need opioids daily you're going to get fucked by tolerance if you have fun with them.

I'm not sure it's a great replacement for chronic pain management. Ive never taken opiates so i cant compare but the effects of kratom are relatively short lasting (about an hour you'l feel some body numbing). I use it for migraines, I find it cuts the edge enough I can fall asleep. While awake it just doesn't last long enough to make a difference.

Using it occasionally for things like alowing you to get out of the house for a dinner or something short it can be a savoiur but that's about all I think it could ever do.

It's also quietly habit forming, you won't crave it but that evening tea sure is nice. After a short while your taking hordes of it for a dose and quiting it sure can be nasty. Even though strangely at least for me I never do crave for it during the withdrawls.

yeah i used to experment thats where the oxy and morphine use came from but i never turned it into a habbit. then two winters ago i fucked my back up and they got me on the norco. at first i would get a decent buzz and pain relief, then just pain relief, now it dosnt even take the edge off. i tried talking to my Dr. and i get treated like a junkie when i ask for something stronger so i stopped asking. If Kratom can give me some pain relief im hoping i can back off the norcos and let my tolerance come down.

Got my Kratom yesterday 1oz of Wildcraft caps and they threw in 7 caps of Vietnam. i took 4 caps this morning (approx 2 grams) and got the sedative effect within about 20 minutes. it has now been 3 hours and i feel it tapering off. pain wise it worked fairly well, although short lived it took the pain away better than the norco so for $17 for 50 caps i am extremely satisfied. I plan to supplement the Kratom in with my normal meds so i can hopefully bring down my opiate tolerance.

Glad to hear it's working out... Are the caps of extract or plain leaf?

plain leaf. i have worked up to 3grams for a nice effect that lasts a decent period
