Produced by Imperial Genetics, bought from www.seedsherenow.com. Genetics are 92' OG Kush X Old Mountain Man Purps, 75% Indica, 25% sativa, 20-25% THC, above average yield, done between 56-63 days.
It was a Denver Cup winner in 2012 or 2013. More of a "west-coast" strain, I am on the east coast and never heard of it before I bought it.
Here's the good and bad.........first off, seeds were old, less then 50% germination. Seedsherenow was giving a free seed on each 5 pack because of it, I'm guessing. Imperial Genetics was just removed from the Seedsherenow website, I'm not even sure they are in business anymore. High Times did a full color spread on the company in 2015, here's the link: http://hightimes.com/grow/grow-masters-session-imperial-genetics/
I had contacted Seedsherenow about the strain and poor germination, they flat out lied to me as I later found numerous complaints on the same problem- don't give them your business, you won't be happy. At $65 for 6 seeds, and 1/2 of them don't sprout, $20 a seed is at the extreme end of the spectrum. Contact me if you want a nice list of other U.S. based seed vendors that sell a nice selection and ship quickly.
What did grow, grew nicely. The 11 plants were pinched once to control height, and they were easy to grow and performed nicely. It was solidly done by 9 weeks, some plants could have been cut at 8 weeks. Great purple coloring on about 1/2 the plants, the other half were a nice lime green. Buds are dense with nice size, final weight was average at best- maybe 1.75 oz a plant. The resin production is great as the pic below will show.
The high is very indica, relaxing and mellow. The sativa is still felt in the buzz, around the temples and eyes. It's not over powering, just a chill pill that comes on quickly and slowly builds to a sustained soft ride. The smell and taste are kushy, no desiel or fruit- just a deep, dank and rich smoke.
Not necessarily a keeper in my garden, but an easy grow of a high quality final product. I think these seeds are finished and not available anymore, along with Imperial Genetics.
