I have grown bubba a couple times and now i have a Master kush going. Bubba seemed like a medium/low yielder and i wasnt really impressed w/ the smoke.

Now i have a Master kush from Dutch passion going and its week 7 and i am about to chop it 80% of hairs are dark dont have a scope to see if its done, but dont forsee it putting on much more weight. It just doesnt look like it's got much weight. Has anyone else grown the Kush's enough to confirm or deny they are low yielders?

I have a sweet deep grapefruit beside them and they are still going strong looking like a 9-10week strain.

i grow afghan kush and average about 3 1/2 to 4 oz's per. thats veg for 6 weeks and 10 under the 600. Mine start to put on weight at week 7 until finish around 10. Not big bud but descent yielder. Thats in soil also. Been growing this strain for 5 generations now, clone from a clone from a clone style, so thats a good average. Can't speak for any other kush strains though. I imagine it depends on what its been crossed with and if its even a true kush. A lot of shit out there called "kush" that isn't really kush.

Been growing a little over a year, the first seeds I bought were Afgan Kush, first timer I thought it was me, but three females didn't produce fuck all, now after a year, it wasn't me, it's the frigin genetics. I believe now they sent me freaks, cross gendered freaks, the no bud syndrom is directly related to mixed breeding, brothers fuckin sisters, mom's fucking son's, and of coarse, dad doin daughter, all resulting in freaks, girls tit's and dinks on the same plant, meaning very little or zero bud. When you think about it, where do you suppose these so-called breeders get their fresh stock? nowhere.

ive seen video of bubba looking ridiculous huge... go on youtube and look up "Urban Grower" they all seem to grow the bubba kush and it's enormous... maybe you could use a couple products to boost your yield... soil/hydro/other what are you feeding with? what's your pH? etc...

also i would advise just going to get a scope or a magnifying glass they're less than 20$ eBay is a good place to get one... chopping when the hairs are 80% is not a way to tell cannabis ripeness... you should always wait at least til the trichs to start changing to white so you THC production is near its peaking point... otherwise you're just sacrificing quality in the long run

ime, yes, kushes are indeed known not to put out too much... i just got done growing a cali con's pre98 bubba kush fem, and i was lucky if i got an ounce after 6 weeks of veg under 400 watts of light.. not very good imo.. great smoke, just shit yield, so i had to bin her from the grow for that reason..
i've also grown a few other kushes and have noticed that it tends to hold true that kushes in general aren't known for their big ass yields, unless they are crossed with something that is known to increase yields.. i'm talking mostly og's and not land race kush like say afghani's or w/e as they are two entirely different beasts for the most part..

outoor is a totally diff animal, we are in the indoor section. The buds just never get big like some of the others i have grown but everyone raves about them so i keep buying them. i am done with that. I've never averaged out what i was getting per plant but might this time, starting to chop now looks extremely low. hope i can get 2oz a plant.

I got og kush seeds as freebies and i am very disappointed with the size of it's Bud's compared to my Northern lights Fast. Hydroponic setup in coco coir.

Done an OG kush years ago and it was viney with poor yield, way overrated IMO but some crosses are worth it though.

I'd get a jewellers loupe. Sometimes another week or so makes a big difference so order one and know for sure that it's time. I fight myself constantly about chopping early, but I think about all the time invested and decide a few more days won't hurt.
I agree! Mine were in flower for exactly 10 weeks before they were ready.

I trimmed mine up today and I yielded way less than I anticipated. Is it common for this strain to not have dense flowers? It smells and tastes amazing, but the flowers were not nearly as dense as they looked and felt when I harvested. I will admit, too, that I didn't prune the underside of the plants as much as I should've, and that resulting in a lot of larf down low on the plants.

The issue could also be the cheap COB LEDs I'm running. I'll be able to rule that out once I get my strip lights built.

I wound up yielding 6.5oz, with about 1.5oz of that being what I consider larfy bud still worth curing and dry herb vaping. Here's some of the trimmed flowers.
