L.E.D grow lights

Im thinking of using l.e.d (red n blue) lights as an alternative light source. Has anyone used them? Do they produce good results ( healthy plant, high yields etc ).

^As long as you do the research, and buy the best possible, you'll do really well. Also, keep in mind that in order to replace 400 watts of HID, for example, you'll need close to 400 watts of LED, reguardless of what their advertisements say. If you buy those crappy LEDs off Ebay, you'd be better off hanging Christmas tree lights on your plant, seriously. They aren't worth shit.

It's expensive, but you can make it work, with excellent results. You'll do better with HIDs though, so keep that in mind. IMO, LED technology just isn't quite there yet. I'd wait, if it's an option. There'll be much better models coming out in the near future. Better yet, wait for plasma to finish being developed. It looks very promising, and will likely be the future of indoor growing. Check out CMH bulbs,(ceramic metal halide) as well. They are still relatively new, but are definitely worth checking out, if HIDs are still and option. Riddleme has been using them, with great results.

Yes do some research and buy a good LED system...

I use the DH LED's and have killer results. Dense, resinous buds every time.
