How many watts are the lights?
The 300watts lights are the older tech, Very inefficient. I based my post on the newer lights, look at the 600s and up.

300w is inefficient? "Old technology?" Based on the wattage alone? I use a 240w BlackStar for veg and a 500w for flower. You don't know what you're talking about. They won't last forever, but they'll certainly work
He refers to the "300W" (135W actual) Mars Hydro.
I don't have personal experience with them, but a good number of folks here have reported them failing completely out having many of the individual blurple bulbs dying.

Still, others report the opposite. Not that they don't eventually fail, but that they work decently, and not all of them do fail. Kinds are worse.

No sarcasm in that post. If that plant is only 17 days from flip it's an amazing strain, it's bud sites are really well developed for that age. Most plants after 14 days are just developing. So yes an amazing strain you should work if it's good!

Great plan for a beginner that your spitting the bill for IMO. I've seen some pretty decent grows done with them and who knows it may only be one lol. Nice of you to set your bro up, kinda like a franchise lol. Having to deal with HID's and the heat they produce can be daunting for a newb, it was for me lol

Guess I will be finding out. I have 2 600's that give me a total of just over 550w. Only vegged under one but added the second for flower.

True but I think it confuses some new growers. Your right lights are a key factor and expense. So many options and opinions out there.

I have kept a personal journal this grow frow germination until now which will be the start of week 2 of flower. Written journal and photos. I dont have it on here but very well could create one if need be.

I grew with Cfl's last year and didnt keep a journal and kicked myself because I didnt. Would have been nice for reference but hoping for better results with these LEDs.

I would just like to see how you plants are compared to mine. Not dick measuring by any means. I'm just a noob. I've got 2 plants in supersoil from a local shop under 200w of 3500k CXB3590s. Literally the first time I've grown a plant in my life.
