3 of my lights will kill a 1k light although my lights would be 1239watts at full power but right now 1/2 and an hps bulb it's actual draw 1075 or 1100watts I can't remember.

"Your lights"? Did you make these things or buy them? Have you tested them or are you like just guessing how much light they put out?

if he knew what he was talking about or had some badass product he would sell it to a company or produce him themselves. But no, he is a know it all who grows in a 4x8 hundred dollar tent , and has a day job . But he knows more and is better than us who grow for a living and spend 12 hours a day around cannabis gardens

I make them and yes they have been tested on amps and watts as well as lumens and flowering with them tomorrow.

Im still not seeing how the higher potency comes into play here. To me strain and grower experience is the key in that area.

with the information of what kind of COB at what amp they are driven at will give you the output of the light its not that hard and if you dont care to understand what i mean you shouldnt buy LED in the first place because its already to much for you

No. The inefficiency means that the instead of light, you get heat. Most of the light produced eventually turns to heat regardless of your lamp's efficiency.

Ok, im just trying to catch up to where you guys are at. Like i said, all ive seen is box lights that work but dont work better than the hps boxlights. And ya, i can see nobody here is interested in teaching anything to anyone interested in the technology. More interested in proving their lights are better than someone elses without facts, just sayig your stupid. Why would anyone whos thinks theyre right, research a light they believe is inferior? Idk, church posted a link which was nice. I had a look, it looks like its made from the manufacturer so no real field tests but it was still a nice read.
Idk, personally i think this sites gone to shit as it is. Nobody shares information anymore. They hoard it n order to gang up and fight other growers on the site. I thought this was an info sharing site which is why im asking but apparently im in the wrong place. Fuck it. Could care less, hps is working fine atm. 1.8 gpw this run. Buds the size of forearms. Apparently ya gotta be a pretentious go fuck yourself grower to use cobs. That aint me so im out.

if you dont care to educate yourself then we wouldnt like to see you hurting yourself so leave it be HID works great its time and tested so just wait for reasonably priced tested LEDs its not that far off if your still interested

I sit in plant problems day after day and some dumb fuck says to me, why is my plants leaves are crisping up. Its six inches tall and i fed it half strength nutrients every watering for a month. So i take the time out of my day to help the little fucker out. I dont say, go educate yourself dumb fuck. I write the dude a half page reply telling him to get a ppm meter and that ffof soil already has nutrients in it, bla bla bla. Because i try to be positive and improve the site. That way if someone were to read the thread that was acctually trying to get something out of it they could see the info and learn from it.
Idk if you guys cant prove any of the claims your making or your just dicks but either way dont quote my posts anymore, i dont want to come back to this thread. Its going nowhere, big waste of time.

Dude, lots of information has and is currently being shared....just not in this thread because it's redundant. Lots of things you've asked about are addressed in threads on the first page of the LED subsection...no searching even needed, just a browsing of titles. The datasheet posted by Church is the datasheet for the COB itself. CREE doesn't care what you use the COB for, they just post the specs for it, so you won't find any field tests or anything related to application-that's up to you.
