LA Confidential

I keep seeing things about LA Confidential and was wondering if anyone that has grown it could give me some information on average heights, yields, smoke, things like that. All regular seeds are sold out so I only have the opportunity to buy 6 fem seeds that will run me about 125, I want to know if its worth the money.

from what i hear it is not a high yielding strain but is a really good smoke. it is about medium height and from 56-60 days to flower.

depending on yr setup and how big u want to get it you can just veg it out a little longer or shorter for smaller setup

anyone else have anything?

LC is what me and one of my friends do pretty exclusively. We're trying to branch into a couple other strains.

What's Great about it:
Great Smoke: Well known for a great high, popular Cali brand.
Fast flower: 7-9 week
Easy to grow: Well known to be quite easy to grow, resistant and durable.

What's not as great:
Slow Veg: Somethin about the strain, she's well known to veg slow, and very dense big leaves. Works well for 10 week perpetual cycles, but you really need to veg this long. Top and top and top again. Because of the density of the leaves this strain is supposed to be suseptible to mildew, however its a resistent strain . We've had mildew run ins, and it bounced back quick. Gotta keep that air flow big time.
Low yield?: This strain is well known to not be great yielder, however I feel like we've pushed the limits. With a 10 week veg, and lots of topping, we avg .5 to almost 1 lb per plant. Leaves 2-3 weeks to cure in a 10 week cycle. Started working on a SCROG set up, and think it could really work out however I can already see an issue with the density of the leaves with my new SCROG set up.
Bag Appeal: La Confidential doesn't have the best looking buds out there. We get pretty good green color with orange hairs, and it has a really impressive dank smell. But really it looks alot like regs . One good bong rip will fix that notion though. The bag appear is something that has come up in our dealings however.

Here is 5 ladies that were taken from my buddies 20 plant grow to a new location where I'm working on setting up a SCROG. I busted the stems on 2 of them trying to navigate all the dense leaves. I bandaged them up and expect a full recovery however . Definitely reccomend the strain, its been good to us. We've had our share of issues, and I can't imagine how hard it would have been had this not been a so called "easy" strain.

Actually that little guy is a pretty newly rooted clone. Potted maybe 2 weeks ago. This is my first experience dealing with the young ones as I normally assisted with harvest and such, and it seems like even my clones are growing super dense. These we're rootbound in 1 gallon pots 2 weeks ago and transfered to these 15 gallon. I still feel like I'm a couple weeks off from being able to flip the lights on them. Notice how many times she's been topped and how many bud sites are showing. Theres at least as many under the canopy that I need to bring up.

u dont need a long veg for LA.... top and train...
bag appeal 9-10 if done correctly
it has a sativa effect when first smoked... too much and ur stuck.....

I think the long veg thing came from the fact that we expect bigger yields, and we try to maximize. She's not a great yielder, but it seems like shes so dense regardless, the longer veg the better overall yield we get. I mean with some strains you don't want to veg too long because of all the excess leaf matter, but she is fucking super leafy regardless. The 10 week number I just heard from someone else, and it seems like we probably have to push nearly that long ourselves to get the size we want to take to flower. In regards to the bag appeal, it doesn't look bad, its green, lots of crystals, with orange hair, just doesn't look as flashy as other strains. Some people love a good looking bag, adds a little excitement and anticipation to the eventual smoking.

what about using it in a SOG alongside BBBC?
