ladies stopped growing, wont hold water, smell kinda rotton??? any ideas

I have 2 plant in flower both in soil, an Alaskan Ice(5 gallon) and Sour D (10 Gallon). I veged them for close to 3 months, and put em into flower on oct. 7th. Beautifull plants, did great the first few weeks, made the transistion to flower and full of flower sites. they havent done anything for almost 2 weeks now. leaves and everything look great just not doing anything. i noticed last week I had a fungas gnat and larvee problem. i believe i've wipped that out though. the ice especially doesnt want to hold much water anymore and the past couple days during their night cycle its smelled kinda rotten in the room. any ideas what could be going on and how to get the crop to continue would be awesome.

Some strains, the roots aren't going to fill in a ten gal container in three months, and then you get a problem with those bigger containers because you have so much soil void of roots, but you still have to load up on water to hit all the roots, so its a double edged problem,...which is, you have stagnant soil, I suspect that's the reason it smells...as for the delayed flowering, I haven't the slightest idea- are you sure they're females?

Water from both top and bottom, maybe alternating one method with the other.

No way, that will generate terrible results.
