i have found a few lady bugs here and there in my garden and to my knowledge they eat bugs that are potentially harmful to plants...but idk in the long run really input would be greatly appreciated

also another question...i have 2 fans oscillating on my 9 babies at all times.....i've heard to run them with you lights and not with lights but if you run them constantly they will just have stronger stems later on right? or does it get to a point where there is too much wind? (keep in mind my fans are not directly on them just oscillating)

he's got a grow tent next to his bed. if he puts ladybugs in it and they go thru the exhaust it's gonna spit them on his bed. creepy crawlies at night suck. lol

hahaha funny how crazy people think

i woulnt see a problem with ladybugs.. if they are there there must be food for them so that is helping you out right?

I released 500 ladybugs in my outdoor garden three times this year for a total of 1500 ladybugs over the summer. I didn't see a retarded amount of ladybugs around after I released them, but I didn't have any insect infestation in either the weed or the vegetables, and I bet my neighbor's didn't either ;) I don't know if there would be enough for them to eat in an indoor grow, but I don't see the harm in trying.

haha you people dont seem to understand what i was originally saying...i currently don't have an infestation but every once in a while i see a lady bug posted up at the top of one of my plants and i was wondering if i should get rid of them or just leave them

Ladybugs are awesome... Put a womans stocking over any vent holes you have, so they don't get sucked into them and possibly meet a very unfortunate fate.

I could do with a couple of ladybirds. I keep finding a few aphids in my grow room despite my daily inspection and clearing of them. They haven't touched the weed yet but they're attacking my tobacco and parsley. Ladybirds are your best friends, do as growtech says and make sure they don't get killed by your ventilation. Happy growing!

Lady bugs eat stuff like spider mites, aphids, etc, which can be really harmful to your plants, so, ladybugs are your friends... Im actually trying to find some right now, but I guess they are out of season around here (california).

Oh, and I released a lot out of a 500 count, maybe 250 into my tent which has been made safe for ladybugs... i used stockings over the light, the AC blower, and intake, I put stockings over the 8 inch fans, and made sure everything else was safe. The remainder of the other ladybugs I scattered around a park in the area. The ladybugs were with me for about a month... they ate, and cleaned up, and watched the plants for me while I was away. There was plenty for them to eat, but they did an excellent job. I 100% recommend ladybugs when the need is there... If you have an army of aphids, I recommend an army of ladybugs! :D

If you didn't introduce them and you have ladybugs, you most likely have an aphid or mite problem. They wouldn't be there if there wasn't food. But now that you have them, cater to them. Alot of us want them but we can't get 'em 'cuz they are out of season. Another critter you might look into is the Praying Mantis. They eat a shitload of destructive bugs, and supposedly, they bring good luck to a house when they are inside. It IS kinda creepy to open your eyes in the morning and have a Mantis right there on the pillow staring you down.
