LADY BUGS! good? bad? or neutral?

If you didn't introduce them and you have ladybugs, you most likely have an aphid or mite problem. They wouldn't be there if there wasn't food. But now that you have them, cater to them. Alot of us want them but we can't get 'em 'cuz they are out of season. Another critter you might look into is the Praying Mantis. They eat a shitload of destructive bugs, and supposedly, they bring good luck to a house when they are inside. It IS kinda creepy to open your eyes in the morning and have a Mantis right there on the pillow staring you down.

Yes... umm... ladybugs are a little bit less intimidating. Of course any insect with wings creeps me out.

I'm good with ladybugs, and even a Mantis, But if you hear someone off in the distance screaming like a girl, hitting notes that could shatter glass.....That would be me encountering a spider!!!!

I dig ladybugs in my garden. :blsmoke:

They seem to show up in numbers around the fall here where I am. Maybe they are just looking for a place to winter?

As for the second question, this is what 24/7 fans do for weed trunks.

I found one in my plants yesterday, but the stupid fucker kept flying up into my reflector. I'm pretty sure the heat will kill it, but what can I do? 3 of my reflectors are fucking HUGE round domes (approx 36" across). I cant really cover that with anything without losing light or risking too much heat build up.

Are they doomed?
