Landraces

hi all,

Anynody Got any landrace experiences they want to share, I mean strictly no hybrids, has to be original strains. Let me know
wrote down the info of when and where they came from. It was the latter part of 1972 He was at Donghae, Gangwon-do, South Korea resupply base on the coast by the Chobiats river (how he pronounced it I did not find it on map. They were out on patrol and crawling under these plants with seeds raining down on their heads. I grew some Outdoor this year and my brother grew some last year. We both found that they started budding and were almost finished before all our other strains even showed sex. Aroma was fruity, plants grew tall and straight in a chrismas tree shape, , buds were big but a bit airy with pointed tips like a fox tail. A joint between two got you a nice head high but not bla.sted like my other strains .Kinda a nice change really. Smoking a joint now it is smoothe, expands a bit. Taste hard to desribe not fruity like the smell, peppery, very mellow, sweet aftertaste but themain taste, a little like a rum soaked tobacco,? no not that. Can’t decide if I really like the taste yet. Not bad not good just different. Since I grew it in oregon I guess it would be considered heirloom. The best part is .It harvested befor any powdery mildew showed. A yearly problem for my area

I've grown Durban poison. Kinda lanky & definitely didn't like PK boost. I've got five more outside but they are stunted. Mother plant was sick when I took the cuttings & did not survive.
Just curious- where did you get the seeds? I grew DP from Dutch Passion co.- not a “pure” landrace as they had bred it with an indica at some point for cold-resistance.

I’ve been growing KwaZulu for my third season now (with an extra round last winter with help from lights). Purchased through World of Seeds.
The first year I got a really gassy, sweet, pheno, that smelled like a baby had eaten berries and pooped them out- gross I know!- but very unique and unmistakable. I still get some of that popping up each round, but more mellow. I really like the high as it’s uplifting without being too “racy”, and can help motivate me to get things done when I’m tired and wanting to just relax.

I've grown Pine Tar Kush, which Tom Hill kept IBLed since the 80s, when he procurred it from Pakistan. My friend acquired it from from Mr. Hill, himself, 22 years ago, and also inbred it. I grew it outdoors a couple of times and it did really well! The high is one of my favorites! It just suits me. Uplifting, relaxing, a little stony, for me.

I’d like to grow Vietblack sometime. I read/heard good things about its’ mold resistance. Random rain storms on top of the morning fog keep me on my toes in late summer here. Coastal NorCalifornia.
