its probably standard protocol to have heart patients quit using Cannabis before a procedure like that however there is no data that proves even remotely that smoking will affect the outcome...dude if it was me and I got pleasure out of smoking I'd totally smoke anyway. Its your life which you may lose anyway regardless so spark one up and fucking enjoy the holidays
They don't want any smoke, cigs or weed. I love life and will do whatever it takes!

I had a dear friend on this forum...(R.I.P. @Hodegrown miss you brother). He needed a heart transplant & he had medical insurance to cover most of the cost, but his co-pay was $500,000....:o
He sold his farm in Humboldt & raised the money but they denied him anyway because he used pot...:cuss:

Now THAT'S love, for better or worse. +++ rep to you,

Why dental work though, if you don't mind me asking?
I really do love her. For more reasons than I can state. First and foremost, she loves ME. She accepts who I am and most of what I do. And, I have learned that when she isn't too accepting of what I do, she's usually right. She has raised my son as her own. She does everything that she can possibly do to make my life a little smoother. She is always there to lend an ear and/or shoulder. In the rare cases where we disagree, she defaults to my judgement (I admit when I mess up and she doesn't hold it against me. Gives me a joking hard time sometimes, but I own up to it).

More to say but like I said, more than I can post here. I would give my life for my wife. Probably part of the reason she puts up with me lol.

Okay so I got choked up reading this. So moving to see such mutual love and respect. I really wish you both the best. and:

PLEASE SHOW THIS SWEET POST TO HER. OR AT LEAST COPY IT TO A CARD. Women love stuff like this. To know how our men feel.

Thanks for the kind words. Quitting is not the end of the world. The thing that really sucks is that I just bought a new Tasty LED. Hopefully I will be able to use it soon!

No it will still show up in a piss test.
Oh, I thought they didn't want you smoking it for the smoke reason, not the drug reason. Is it that it's illegal where you are? I mean if it helps w/ physical pain why won't they allow it?

Hearts and other organs are in limited supply so they want to give them to those they believe stand the best chance of keeping them healthy. Even though smoking cigarettes is legal they won't put you on a transplant list unless you stop. Not enough research has been done on cannabis etc.... It's a way of triaging organs.

I have noticed since I quit I am more tired after work. When I had my kidney transplant the pills they give me made me a diabetic. Now it seemed that since I quit my sugar crashes are worse. Is this in my mind or what? Pretty weird.

The antirejection drugs we have today are not very clean; the term I've heard is "sledgehammers". I would not be surprised by the symptoms you describe.
