Was the covering on for a long time? Or just till storm passes?
Late flowering sativa + forecasted frost = Early harvest?

Just till it passed. We used to have to do it around every other year. Now with the hoop house, I just fire up the propane heater.
A few times I really think it was the sterno that saved the day.
Once we had an ice storm that hung around with a couple cold (well below freezing) days and then everything went back up into the sixties. While it rained ice, I did have to go knock the accumulated stuff off the tents. That's when my mentors'idea of put the heat cans under them came into play. After two days I unwrapped them and it was like nothing ever happened.

Some winters our ground never really freezes except the surface.Last year we remodeled and painted outside until Feb.Late next week is forcasted to be low 60s

Hello I grow Durbin Pure Sativa.Monster Profit.. Monster Durbin... It gets done in late Sept..All mine get done then they have to be.Hunting Season..Hi guys, sorry if this is a redundant post, but I started a pure sativa variety in late spring and it lived up to its reputation as a LONG grow! After 16+ weeks of veg, I started to get flower in in October and now it's stacking nicely with terps and an amazing lemony scent. The plant is in a 25 gal. pot, approx 8 feet tall and 6 feet in diameter. It's super happy. Now the bad news, I live in coastal VA, and we're forecasted to have a freeze w/ sleet and/or snow next week. Although not mature or close to ripe, should I let it take the weather or should I go ahead and harvest? Lesson learned, will get this variety started and potted at least a month earlier next season!
