It can depend on what medium you use.

If you grow in soil then you should just generally use plain water when you would normally water them for around 2 weeks.

Personally i have leached and not leached plants and the only noticeable differences are in smokeability straight after drying. Once cured there is virtually no difference whether the plants have been leached or not.

ya im using soil and have been told thats why i need to leach alot. ive also been told that leaching triggers calyxes to swell and pistils to turn "die" or turn color. is any of that true at all????????

Not really NO.

Pistils change colour during the flowering process regardless. Its part of the ripening process.

With soil generally people will FEED WATER WATER FEED WATER WATER. To keep toxic build up from occuring. Soil has a CEC ability. Where the soil holds nutrients until the plant needs them so there is no need to feed constantly in soil.

Whether a plant SWELLS or PISTILS change colour is solely dependant on whether it is getting ready to finish or not. Cutting out nutes to make this happen just wont work. If you do it prematurely then you will end up with an underfed plant and many yellowing leaves.
