I have been using the same nutes ( pro flower by karma) 3 gallon bags with fox farm organic black gold soil, under a 8 bulb T5. I add nutes every two weeks. Water ph is usually 5.0 or so and temp is 77 day, 68 night. good ventiliation and fresh air. I had a pest problem i took care of using safer brand bug spray. Can using sprinkle on fertilizer along with the nutes cause nute burn? i only added fertilizer once.

Ph is to low - pretty sure potted plants need much higher, but I do hydro so not sure exactly what you should have - I would guess at least ph of 6.

pH of 5 is way too low - even for hydro let alone soil! for hydro pH should be around 5.8 but for soil i think the pH should be around 6.5 - soil growers, is that right?

Turns out it was fungus knats that laid eggs in the soil and now those little shits are/were eating my roots. I have been using einstein neem oil with coco wet every water and it is showing very good signs of improvement. i am using the mix on all my plants for the just in case factor. I appreciate everyones input.

That is the tell tell signs of water spots. You are either spraying your plants or you pour water all over them. I bet its one of the two. That is whats wrong with your plants...oh and your ph needs to be around 6.2-6.5

Edit: I jsut read your last post and no thats not fungus gnats. Yes you might have had them (and thats caused by having your soil to wet all the time) but thats not what caused those spots. Stop spraying them or be careful when you water them. Only pour the water on the soil, not the plant. And if you must spray them do it an hour or so before the lights go off or come on. That way they either have time to dry out if you spray before, or they light wont be on them to long if you spray right before they go off. But just stop spraying them. I guarantee your new growth will be fine. And stop watering so much to get rid of gnats. Check out https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/30622-my-little-babies-24.html I grow in soil, i know :)

i only water 1 cup-200ml every other day to every three days. i could actually see the aphids under the leafs eating away. there are fungus knats in the soil i saw them under magnification. i have never sprayed water on the plants, and i spray the neem oil after dark. when i water the plants are usually showing a little leaf droop.
