Leaf Discoloration

Well, when I was a first time newbie I was very excited and anxious to start growing. But, I wanted to do it right and being a stubborn type of guy I wanted to do it by myself and for myself. I came to RIU and read a shit load of information and ALL the stickies in this particular forum. I learned a few things...first most of the people that give quick, pat and what they call 'factual' answers don't know what the fuck they are talking about. I also learned how to use the search function, I also realized that RIU is a source of great info but, there are also other sites, books, videos etc that can confirm the answers or opinions given to the new grower. I started to go by this rule of thumb...I asked specific questions with all the details I could think of. I took those responses and sifted through them. If 7 out of 10 were similar I figured it MIGHT be good advice...so I researched further and made my own decisions.

What the more 'experienced' growerz are saying here is no one wants to hold a newbie by the hand and walk them through a grow answering every question and telling a grower exactly what, when, how, why etc etc . I have had multiple new members PM me with very basic questions that they could have found the answers for within 5 minutes of searching.

The bottom line here is...at the end of the day it is YOUR grow and only you can decide how you are going to fix the issues that arise. I strive to give only opinions rather than advice. I personally do not want to risk someone else's grow to satisfy my own arrogance as so many other growerz on cannabis forums do.

What I got at the end of my first attempt is in my avatar pic. I did it by myself and for myself and was very proud of that fact. Smoking my own budz for the first time was the BEST high I ever had.

So, to sum it up asking questions is great but A) Do not take anyone's advice and just blindly run with it. B) Remember that there are as many types of growz as there are growerz and this one is being done by YOU.

Good Luck and Great Growz!

It is growing at the same rate as far as how many nodes it has. They are all growing their fourth node right now. But all growth on the runt seems to be smaller. Smaller leaves, slightly shorter in size and isnt as wide as the others.

HMMM...I have been considering some genetic and breeding attempts. Strain names can be a fun thing to think about...how about Fuzzy Puzzy? Delicious Dyke? Smegmatic?

If this African Buzz turns out to be male, I'm going to harvest the pollen and cross it with an Afghan Kush female for a 50/50 sativa-indica landrace hybrid. I want to stabilize it into my own strain, because it doesn't exist yet I don't think.

With so much genetic and breeding going on cannabis is VERY susceptible to phenotypes. One plant in the same grow of the same strain can be completely different tan the others. but the good news is MOST of the problems can be handled the same way. Stay consistent with how you are doing the whole grow and they should all be fine. Unless you just get stuck with a genetically fucked up seed.

Smegma is a penile substance.
Found this on WIKI so it MUST be correct, right? LOL!!!

Smegma (Greek smēgma, "soap") is a combination of shed skin cells, skin oils, and moisture. It occurs in both female and male mammalian genitalia. Both sexes can produce smegma. In males, smegma is produced and can collect under the foreskin; in females, it collects around the clitoris and in the folds of the labia minora.
