Hi guys,

My plant is just over two weeks old and the tips of the leaves are starting to droop (curl downwards)? Does this mean they need more water?

Happy smoking :)

are you using too much water, or is there trapped water in the soil? (they can droop from too much water as well) and i usually say if the first 3 or so inches of soil are not moist i water.

im not sure of the technical term man but just let it dry a bit..do you have holes in the bottom of your pot?

Yeah it does but I might raise the pot off the container so allow better drainage... I've included a picture of what it looks like. It's just two of the leaves are curling downwards. I've seen them do this before and then the rose up again, but I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong. I think it could be related to over fertilizing as two leaves show signs of nute burn.

So you think it's a nute problem rather than an overwater problem?

My lights (2x65W 6400k) are around 2-3 inches above the plants (I raised them to this level when my leaves started to look burnt (probably from the nutes)).

That plant is to young to be fertilizing. Wait until around the time the first 2 round leaves fall off or until it shows signs of nutrient deficiency. Like states above I water when I stick my finger in 3-4 inches deep of soil and its dry, sometimes I even let it go another day. Its a lot easier to fix an under-watered plant than an over watered plant.

Good luck on your grow

Thanks Doc, do you think I should just leave it well alone for now them and hopefully it will recover from this nutrient burn?

If you are not familiar with how and when to water your plant, go buy a moisture meter... takes the guess work out.

ive got some good bud off plants that were "runts".my last LA CONF. was like 3"with two sets of leaves at 3 weeks old.all my other plants were bushes.i finally got it healthy and it ended up being 2 and a half feet and yielded almost 6 oz. wet . i wouldnt give up on it,dont commit plant abortion bro.
