Strain; LSD

Soil in pots, Roots Organic with Subcools Super Soil

System type grow tent 2x2.5

PH of runoff or solution in reservoir?

What is strength of nutrient mix? SS
8 quart recipe of roots organic
2lb of organic worm casting
3 ounces of steamed bone meal
3 ounces of bloom bat guano
3 ounces of blood meal
1.5 ounces of rock phosphorus
.50 tablespoon of epsom salts
2 tablespoon of dolomite lime
.35 tablespoon of azomite (trace elements)

Light system, size? Meizhi 600w 13 inches from the top

Temps; Day, Night 81,77

Humidity; Day, Night 40%, 57%

Ventilation system; Yes , Size 110 cfm inline fan

De-humidifier, yes 2 dehumidifiers and damprid

Co2; No

Hello everyone help and insight would be apreciated. I water when the 7 gallon smart pot feels light.

Leaves will not perk up after watering so I believe it to not be a watering issue!

There is about 2 gallons of SS and the rest roots organic.

It seems the lower fan leaves are perkier than the ones closer to the top.

Looks like the beginning of a Nitrogen Toxicity. (Too Much Nitrogen)

Not a huge worry as it just looks like the start, your droopy leaves are known as "The Claw". Those fan leaves also have very slight burnt tips evident of nutrient burn.

Since you're using amended soil, every time you water you feed. So I would try watering a little bit less. How much/often are you watering? (I know you said when the pot is light, but how often is that actually?)

Also note, that if you water a lot at one feeding, it can also cause drooping leaves.

Thank you for the response. I am at the moment watering every 2 days. This is my first time with smart pots and I have noticed it dries up a lot faster.

I added a little bit of molasses yesterday to see if it would fix the issue. Do you think that will make it worse?

I water 1 gallon recently. Is that too much or too little for a 7 gallon smart pot?

I don't really get run off.

Molasses is basically like sugar, it helps the microbes in your soil. There shouldn't be any major adverse affects from adding molasses.

In soil I like to water just before run off, then again after two days. So sounds like you're doing okay there. Everything else seems fine. Maybe the soil is a little hot (Nutrient strength not temperature) or the strain is a little picky.

What is the PH of the solution you are watering with?

Describe your watering routine.
I realise, you're waiting until it's lighter.
But-
How large is the pot?
How many litres do you give?
How often is it being watered? In a controlled environment, it'd be a regular pattern. How many times, in a week?
When you water. How much runoff do you water until?

Have you ph'd you soil lately? Runoff or what you're feeding won't help.

You havnt fed anything else at all?
It's just been water from day one?

How long did you compost your soil for? How?
How fresh was your manure, and guano when you added it?

THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM! I'd bet my life on it.

Please excuse the French, but 1 gallon to a 7 gallon pot, is fuck all! If you water a few times in a week, it's just making your problem worse.

It's all the guano, manure, and blood meal in your soil.
It's the reason I asked you about your manures, and how you composted them.

Manures, and guano contain a lot of salts. You even have to watch manures these days, because modern pasture/feed lots, has increasing amounts of sodium.
Blood meal also contains a lot of urea. Manures, and guano too.

What's happening is, the shit's breaking down into its available form. As the soil dries, the break down slows. But the nutrient salts have been released, and still available in the soil.
You come along with one gallon of water. Soften all the soil again, and release more salts. You get salt buildup. Because you don't have runoff. Runoff flushes excess salts out.
Excess nitrogen isn't being released either.

You are underwatering, and watering too often at the same time.

I'd be aiming for at least 10% runoff.
Watering once a week. Twice, at the absolute maximum.
Most likely once a week. Your recipe looks like it holds A LOT of water.

I am watering at 6.5 and using earth juice to get it there.

7 gallons

I give 1 gallon

Probably 3 times a week

I water just before run off

No I haven't not sure how to ph soil. Do I have to buy a gadget for that?

No just molasses recently to see if it would make the situation better.

Composted for 75 days in a food grade bucket with a lid. Stirred every 2 weeks and made sure soil was damp not wet.

Recently bought from fox farms so I would assume relatively fresh

Ok I will start watering till I get 10% run off. But I am reading that watering every 2 days is normal with smartpots because the water evaporates just as quick as it is absorbed by the roots.

No. Sorry mate.
It'll work. I'm sure of it.
It's the same rule as outside. Water less often. But give it a big, big drink when you do.

Good luck op.
