Leaves Fading Signalling Harvest Soon?

I have a few plants but my gelato auto — which is week 6-7 into flower — is starting to fade (yellow) from the neck down. Is this a phase of it maturing and harvesting in a few weeks? It’s been on Lucas/KISS Maxibloom its whole life, so nitrogen seems out. It’s getting cooler at night. I had Thrips but I applied bio controls that helped a lot. Buds look like they still need 2-3 weeks?

(Side note: now I see the downside of planting 8 different strains. They are all at different phases and speak different languages, visually. Bit confusing.)

Its also week 11 from seed and 7 weeks into flower. So it’s either that or it’s getting ready to finish? Been feeding it plenty of N.

(or maybe lockout? I haven’t done my routine weekly plain water flush for a bit)

Had to choose between that and bio control and chose bio control. Needless to say the results are disappointing so far. It works but takes time. I spent good $ on that, so switching it up now would be $ down the drain so I’m just waiting for these guys to multiply and do their work! I have soil mites and mites that work on the leaves. Could switch to citric acid for the plants feeling it the worst.

Yep. I have a number of hand-pump sprayers in 1g and 2g sizes. The 'wand' can be flipped upside down to get the undersides of the plants as well at the top.

So you're feeding give or take 3g or 3.5g? I'd bump that up a bit. Work with the 650-750PPM (1.3-1.5EC range). If you get tip burn back off a little. I know that some feed up in the range of 5-7g per gallon successfully, but there's also a few here who are doing 3g. That plant looks hungry.

Your a noob right? Here’s a PSA for any one that may have read the above. Water does not destroy trichomes. Do your research before making such a statement. It’s how misinformation is spread. Google water curing or bud washing after harvest to get an idea.

thx for clarifying. Sorry that is the one thing I never asked on here is weather water destroys them my bad

I would get major aroma while spraying them though

The final word is how the plant is doing rather than if it's photo or auto or sativa/indica. You're in mid-flower but you're seeing deficiencies in the lowers, where plants cannibalize the mobile nutrients to the buds. I've grown multiples of the same strain and some just needed more food than others...though it looks like at least two of your plants are yellowing at the lowers.

ice Water will break trichomes off your buds—especially if your buds are frozen. But as far as rinsing your plants off during flower—you’ll be fine. You can spray organic pesticides (BT, spinosad) on your FLOWERS up till a few days of harvest—just wash your buds in a H2o2 solution and rinse directly after harvest and hang dry as normal. I do it for my outdoor. Since the fire of 2017 I’ve been washing all the soot and shit off. Makes nice clean tasty smoke. Smell, taste, yield and potency are not affected negatively.

Why do huge wafts of smell come off the plant when you spray them, then? Figured the trivhomes were poppin lol

They never needed more food till now. Crazy how hungry they get.
