I'm not sure if I have a problem yet or if it's because of the fan thats blowing on the plants....

They are sleeping now and when the lights comes back on I'll wait to put fan on and see what happens to the plants...

In general what is a reason for plant leaves starting to gp downward ??

If u mean your leaves are curling downwards from the tips this normally means overwatering. Dont forget you want your plants soil to be dry about an inch in the soil before you water again. Hope This Helps

is this happening to those plants you and your friend pruned back last week? In my exp when they curl its a watering issue as stated above if the fan leaves are growing down and the leave looks healthy they may be doing that to get more light from the sides you have a large room and so do I......I see that alot on the bottom branches ect. if not maybe it's just due to stress. I saw they recovered well is this happening on new growth? check back later gotta go just some thoughts:) the fan thing may be it to you only need to move the air around it dosen't have to be like a huricane in there ;)

I suspect a over-watering issue.... I was a little paranoid because I read somewhere that we shoouldn't lat the plant lack water while flowering but I may ahve over done it a little.

Yes its the plants we hacked last sunday but they recovered well.

So what do I just let them dry out and they will perk right back up ?

yeah just wait untill tomorrow I'll bet they'll be reaching for the lights again  yeah you don't want them to lack moisture but you really souldn't have to change the way you water..just don't forget to water them and yeah they put on weight they will need a bit more but nothing drastic till flush timebongsmilie
