Nope its outdoor, I don't think its from the heat because the temperatures have been pretty cool lately.

Have you bothered to read the stickys in plant problems? Gives great ideas and narrows things down what are your nuts and feeding schedule?

IDK man, looks like it was resting up against a hot light bulb, or something. It's not a deficiency.

It surely does!

And going the other extreme: cold weather can lock out K, which translates into burns along the leaf margins as pictured. But I don't think it's K lockout.

Based on the pics, mainly the second one, it looks like a salt buildup in the soil. That is indicated by the silvery flecks on the fan leaves. But wouldn't you know it? It's outdoor, so unless you've just nuked it with GH nutes, I don't know what the hell it could be. meh.

We have incomplete info. You still haven't said what you're feeding it. Until then, it's a guessing game.

Thanks, Jaw.

You are also dead on about asking about whether or not he foliar fed the plant, too, as it leaves a residue similar in appearance, sometimes, to salt buildup.

The silvery flecks could be residue from an epsom salt shower, too, lol.

jury's still out, though, because we still don't know what this guy has given the darn thing.

One more possiblity- because I LOVE guessing-

Is this guy added a fertilizer rich in either ammonium or urea. Either way, too much ammonium in the soil will cause damage in the foliage similar to this. A ridiculous amount of Ammonium Nitrate, worse yet, a product derived from Ammonium Sulfate, for example.

And guess what happens if you add to much ammonium to your soil when the plant is flowering? (especially flowering)

You get K lockout!

So that's two times I've meantioned K lockout: either from cold nights falling below 55 degrees F or too much ammonium in the soil.

I love this game.

Haha. Yeah, but I might be pissing in the right direction... that's three votes for K lockout!

Four votes for K lockout.

So, based on this info we now must come up with a solution....

And the solution is:

Do nothing.

Well, what CAN you do? Praying to the baby jesus for warmer nights is about all you can do...

No info. Par for the course.

Questions are always welcome about my product, or nutes in general.

Anyhow, the price difference is dependent on a lot of things. One is reputation. My nutes, for example, are inexpensive. They are an unknown, so I cannot justify charging an arm or leg for them, (yet) whereas Canna does have a pretty decent reputation. I cannot knock a brand that has served the growing community for so many years now. Same with GH. Same with AN. They have all proven to be viable solutions to add to your growing toolkit, so they can charge more.

Another factor is the quality/cost of the ingredients. Some products, such as GH MaxiBloom, are made with only a few inexpensive chems, so the cost will be a lot cheaper. Another example would be Miracle Grow. Most of its Nitrogen is derived from Urea. And Urea is dirt dirt cheap. Compare that with Jack's Professional fertilizers, which have the more costly Nitrate-based Nitrogen in it, and you will see a price difference.

So reputation, quality of ingredients...

And lastly, it's weight!

Powder/Dry nutes will always be cheaper. Why? Because you can move a helluva lot more N,P,K,Ca,etc in powder form than you can as a liquid. Powders are also easier to contain, so you will have a lot less scrutiny over the packaging, lower standards, thus cheaper packaging. Don't think that paying the 10 dollars for shipping that pint of GH Floralicious covers the premiums/penalties of going with liquid fertilizer. You've already paid the premium in the retail price of the product as well!

So, when I came up with this nice little project, I kept all of these points in mind. I sell superior nutrients whose samples can be shipped anywhere in the world for less than three bucks! Not too bad, eh?
