Leaving for 6 days. Help!

I have 16 Germs breaking soil today. I leave for 6 days vacation. What are my options for watering these babies while Im gone. Or can I water the heck out of them and be safe, and when I get back water.

I have a timer and outlet next to the pots, and also an auto water timmer that is being used for the landscape, I can add my pot to the station if needed, I just don't know how to water so slowly for the small pots.

Need some ideas and info, I leave in 3 days.

I need something in 3 days.

I haven't grown in 12 year+ years. I just joined this site because I am in the planning stage of my new setup. However, I used to use vermiculite as it holds water which it will release over time. The details are lost in my fuzzy memory however and I am wondering if any of the more experienced folks here can comment on this practice. Would this be a reasonable solution?

Well, on my lunch, I bought a fountain submergable pump, 1/4 hose, and 8 t fittings. At each pot i put a pressurized dripper. They drip 2 Gallons an hour. So on the timer, I will have it set to 1 min. Might be a little too much water, but all i really need is one day of water while gone. That should come out to around 4 oz a pot. And the pump I bought was the smallest one I could find. So it should be just right. Going to test tomm on the timer and watch how it goes. Will post a pic of the setup wehn completed.

Couldn't you have waited to sprout them after your vacation..?

Well, on the subject I think you've got it all figured out with the pump and timer at least that's the only way I know of apart from having someone water them for you. Good luck

All those solutions are great but with fresh seedlings you probably wont have to water but once a week just put them in a little more soil or bigger pot that way you know the soil will retain moister which you obviously need to keep them wet while sprouting

Pics of the watering system I built. nothing fancy, but its on a digital elect. timer set for 1 min. a day.
