Leaving for the weekend

Okay so I am going away this weekend from thrusday to sunday. All I really need to know is how to keep enough water in the pots. Here were my ideas.

Throw a water pump on a time and run it for like 15 or 30 minutes on friday and sunday before I get back. The plant doesnt drink a whole lot. but that would do.

Next I had the idea to turn the lights down to 20 hours off 4 hours on to maybe keep the lights from evaporating the water. I am in the second week of 12/12 and the sex has not shown. I think I had a light leak. but last night did 20/4 to try to for flower.

Any input would be most appreciated. Ohh yeah leaving today so if you want to let me know your thoughts today would be the time.

not a good idea to jump your light cycles around like that...stresses your plants.....second week of 12/12 they should be showing signs of female by now...if not look for balls! I would IMO water heavily Thursday and then when you get back.....

no I was trying to force flower by 20 off and 4 hours on. I was told by a buddy that the only time it stresses plant is to interrupt the dark period.

this is somewhat true, but i think would of been better to give 24-48hrs of dark time at the beginning to "rush" the process, some people have good results. Changing drastically the lights like this will cause hermies.

Wrong, 20 hours on 4 hours off isn't going to do anything but possibly revert to vegetative state, but more than likely stress into hermies. If you've been 12/12 for 2 weeks. Leave it. Water heavy before you go, then water when you come back. I sometimes water only once a week. Esp if you said they don't drink much. Your buddy doesn't know what hes talking about, don't change light cycles, you may have already done enough damage. Switch back and pray.

YOUR WRONG DUDE! he said again he turned the lights OFF for 20hrs and ON for 4 this will NOT NOT cause a plant to revert to veg. just read guys jeez!

OK first post and its getting hairy. Love the input. Please remember that this is my first grow and this is a test run of my green thumb. Hopefully it will be a Female. I think that were my 2 grow tops meet the main stem there a some pistols. I have no idea were to look for the first signs of sex. I know the difference and everything for male and female. Where would the first signs of sex be? Top of the plant or bottom or what?

look at the 8th node, 8th 10th & 13th node should show you the sex. When it gets older and shows for sure you will see no doubt whether or not its a boy or girl.

leave it on twelve and twelve. Water the shit out of it right before you walk out the door then water as soon as you return. They will be fine.

Wow. I have been a member now for maybe a month. And I didnt want to post and look like a tard but this is the most help i have gotten. I try to search on things but this is much easier.

I was also told to you both spectrums during flowering. Any advice? And it also seems everytime i give my plant nutes it burns in the next couple days. try using 1/8th recommended of MG with foliar feeding and the leaves lightin up almost immediately. Any help? I have decided not to feed it anything and see where that goes.

if you have the capability to run both with enough light to benifit the plants then ya......i dont like MG nutes always burned my plants........got a hydro shop near by?

yeah its a way off and everything is marked up but there is another i need to check. Well this is a stealth grow but I have 1-105w full spectrum and 1-105w 27000k CFL. Both heat and humidity are in check.

well my hydro store has a "house" brand of nutes and is very good.....might want to just ask them. I paid like 21.00 for 3-bottles of Nutes....grow grow, grow basic, and grow bloom.....

Ok so I told you I was a first timer. I burn the piss out of her a couple of times. I personally think that I have put it thru alot of stress. I got superthrive and started using that and it has really seem to bring her out the slomp. the middle leaves are burn really bad and I want to know if ishould cut them off and keep using superthrive?

man it took my plant right at 18 days before I saw some of the pistols start to show. And you will know for sure. I would just soak that bitch I guess. I am going out of town soon and I am having my brother come over and water. If you have someone you trust a lot they might be able to come and water them once.

im leaving my plant for a month! though it is outdoors. if i were you i would find one friend that you trust VERY WELL and get them to come by once or twice to feed nd water em! thats what im doing! good luck! peace :peace:

210 watts and soil, I presume? I agree with the water the shit out of it people. I used to use polymers(think unflavored dry gelatin) to reduce the number of waterings. The stuff holds water for a long time. I mixed it into my soil. People use it for their lawn it the hot-as-balls southern states.
