here's a thread where you can discuss LEC conversion kits

How bout some pics of some of your LEC grows Bro?seems like a wash when hydrofarm sells the kit with reflector for under $350
that vertical reflector is a nice design and will prob outperform your 10 year old horizontal reflector and its oxidized aluminum insert.
Looks cool for the dough how was wiring it up. Any pic for the heardhttp://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmmw.htm
No conversion 'kit' required. $200/kit. Use your be of reflector.
Here's a pic of one hanging in my veg, the lamp behind it is the 600W HPS it's replacing;Looks cool for the dough how was wiring it up. Any pic for the heard
I agree with this, if you dissect the pricing of the kits it would be difficult to match the pricing by putting different components together. Some don't include a bulb or reflector which makes the initial price look good but if you're looking to run any sort of hood the kits make more sense imo.I personally would only go with the conversion kit if I was going to run vert . Otherwise just buy the phantom or nanolux or sunsystem lec or endomaxx
The phantom is the best deal plus it's a remote ballast if that's an issue for anyone. I do like the idea of no long cords from ballast to fixture though with the nanolux and lec.
Thanks, 3x3 is great coverage, but with 2 units side by side like I run them you can take advantage of the bleeding in between them and cover off 3x7 well. At 24" a single unit can cover up to 3.5x3.5'. The best yields come from taking advantage of the penetration on these so you not only want say 3x3' but you want the plant height 36-42" from the soil. As you can see at the back, they can build some nice colasMan that's a beautiful spread. What's the recommended grow area for two sun system 315 lec? 3x7 is pushing right but yours looks great
Wow awesome brother!Thanks, 3x3 is great coverage, but with 2 units side by side like I run them you can take advantage of the bleeding in between them and cover off 3x7 well. Any other sources? It looks like this link is dead. I know this is an older thread. thanks.http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmmw.htm

This seems to be the closest kit in price but you'll need to add a bulb. It's a more flexible ballast than the one's advancedtech had too as it will run 120v or 220/240v.Any other sources? It looks like this link is dead. I know this is an older thread. thanks.
I am amazed that the bulb is not burning that plants that close. Do you have any lights over the top of the plants?Here's a pic of one hanging in my veg, the lamp behind it is the 600W HPS it's replacing;

Wiring them up is easy for anyone with a touch of electrical experience; good blue crimp connectors and some heat shrink tubing and that's it. I cut the female end off a ballast power cord and the ballast plug end off one of my bare bulb cordsets, stripped the wires for the connections, crimp, heat shrink, done.
So how do they work? The plants like them better for half the watts.
...Suave! LMAO!
Yup.dead.Any other sources? It looks like this link is dead. I know this is an older thread. thanks.
No.I am amazed that the bulb is not burning that plants that close. Do you have any lights over the top of the plants?
