Hello hello

My new led panel just arrived. I did a lot of reading and decided to go with an apollo despite some negative feedback. Honestly it's a pretty nice little light. Bought this light specifically for my strain tester cab and cant wait to see what it can do. I really like the area 51 lights but they were out of stock at the time. I figured for the price who cares lets do it.
Heres what i did.

72x3w diodes actual power is 162w and can be dimmed to 58 or 111 watts
90* secondary lenses
1:1 ratio
6000k & 630nm

Here are a few pics. I should be running in a week or so.

It was $195 shipped. It seems some last and some fail. It did take longer than they said to get it. From time of payment to delivery it was 14 days. They also said it was 200 actual watts but i knew that was incorrect.
Thanks for the replies.

yo dude, you got the newer version of the Apollo aswell, the old module had 15 leds per cluster (lense), this one has 12. They also put on redesigned optical lenses on it so no light leaks from the sides of the LED's under the faceplate, unlike the older version.

Plus if ya handy with a soldering iron, they are really easy to repair man if a LED does go pop, get a 5v DC Adapter, strip the wires, touch the + side of the LED with the + wire of the adapter and the same with the - ones, and bingo, the LED will light up, if its the blown one, then it wont. Pop out with Soldering iron and replace.
So you wont have to wait so long for replacements, as for the power drivers, I have owned my Apollo LED for over 3 years now, yeah ive popped a few LED's (my fault for Fooking about putting in higer voltage ones lol) but I have never popped a Driver., as for the Fire Hazard, Quite simply.....bollox.

They use MeanWell drivers & they are used everywhere across the world in all sorts of electronical applications,, anyway, even if one did overheat, it would just blow its internal fuse & the red light on the front will go out.
If its a LED problem, it should blink.

I can tell you the main reason that they do fail aswell, its the heatsink thermal paste they use, its ok bit not brilliant, change it all for Artic Silver and your laughing, in fact many re-suppliers of these light have already upgraded the thermal paste and tape as china cant. cos its too expensive for them ffs. lol.
Plus they sometimes don't clamp the LED board down hard enough, check all the screws on the LED cluster plates. (allen key ones aswell, nightmare)
They should not be loose nor overtightened. Its like clamping a head gasket down, you gotta make sure the LED Circuit board is tightened evenly onto the thermal bars.
Ive seen a few come from china with loose screws aswell. Plus people like putting IR in them, that pops them aswell, cant handle the heat generated

Oh I could go on and on about the design faults, pros and cons, etc.. but I wont, its a simple LED to do a simple job. Growing.

HGrow.............you should really do your research before trolling and scaring the shit out of people ffs. & don't come back with some pathetic TROLL reply, we are sick of it,

KeepItLegal.....Your LED is probably the best selling LED in the world.
yeah, so many people have copied it, but why? if it was so bad, why are theyre thousands & thousands out there? all growing good results with, Even Dutch Passion are selling a similar LED now & theyre getting no complaints.

Go to their website if you don't believe me, its a snazzy white with the DP logo on it.

You got a good setup there mate. Happy Growing to you.! your gonna be pleased.
Its a good start to growing with LEDs aswell, Plus if you need a strip down journal, I can provide one, ive had these units open a thousand trillions times, just love mixing spectrums and changing stuff. 3 of my custom ones are working right now, all doing really well.
so don't listen to the Gripe Hype, see for yourself innit?

Peace Bro & Happy LED Growing All ! :peace: :weed:

These pricey ass LED panels you speak of, the wattage seems so low, how does this translate into say an HID per watt? Like a 100 watt panel do like a 400 watt hid worth of light? etc?

Yo, good question, and one that starts lots of rows. :fire:
Im not here to prove that LEDs are better then HPS etc...man ohh no :peace:
But performance comparison grows are all under going testing at the moment bro,

the 90W Osram LED for example provided 118 Grams Dry, = 1.3 Gr per Watt, for power used that is.
But that's Osrams, hence theyre price. Lots cooler, lots more efficient, etc...

But hey, if you can afford the HPS costs etc.. then why change anyway? LED's are more like a hobby gadget thing to some but to most they are essential as LED's are better for stealthier smaller grows, you cant fit the lowest HPS bulb into a 50 x 50 x 180 cab and get the same results a LED can.

the next best results I have got so far is 140 Grams from a 240 W (output) , 150W (power usage) LED. = 0.9 Gr per watt.

Tests are ongoing, in all sized areas, at the moment, I have the first ever Osram LED manufactured in the UK. The PAR values are off the scale compared to a 600 HPS, but its not all about that, its all about the growing & that's what it is doing right now, over a grow.

Here it is at 3 weeks.

White Widow Auto on Left (25 L Square Pot), Blue Mystic Auto on right (20 L Airpot).

Results are looking promising at the mo, they are both very healthy.
Lets just see what these two do. They've both had a excellent start and temps have been perfect.

I ask because im moving, and may need to stealth the fuck out of my next grow (renting) and if I don't have much space to work with, I may need to go LED, since banging a 1000 watt HID in a fucking closet is not practical or doable with heat, power use, etc... I'll have to see what the next step in life brings me.. I just really do not want to flower with CFL's again, although it was over a year ago when i first started and never ph'ed, didn't know much of anything, my results were fucking sad... I'm sure i would do much better now with them, but yet, the taste in my mouth lingers... lol

Yeah I hear you bro, totally understand, that's why I under took testing them over grows, to see whats the best for the best areas etc... they are getting lots better mate, just the prices are still a bit too high and importing from china can be a nightmare, sooo many copies. best to go with what is posted the most, at least you can see the results and window shop before buying.

What you said are all bullshit 。 They use Meanwell LED drivers .They assemble the LED drivers themselves .Oh , MAN . Are you sure their LED drivers are Meanwell , when I post their LED driver and not Meanwell , then you will know that .
I will post more to show you their products are really "good "
