LED build suggestions

If you can spend a little more I have an HLG 600 if you assemble it yourself without the bluetooth controller its about $700. Easy as hell to put together and comes with a potentiometer so you can literally run from 10%-100% right from seed/clone to end of flower. You can put the driver outside the tent to furher reduce the heat footprint. It's 620W max draw at the wall and will absolutely kill a 4x4. You will definitely have all the light you need. Is it the absolutely best option probably not but for the price you probably won't come close to this. Here is a link to where i bought mine where you can take a look at the specs and compare to other options you are looking at. https://growerslights.com/products/horticulture-lighting-group-600h-quantum-board-led-kit?variant=8194696151141

You could build a nice QB light fixture with your budget. I did 2x 600w QB fixtures for a 4'x8' tent for under $1k. Also, hortibloom had their luma cob bars on sale super cheap recently, you could get 3x of the citizen 1212 240w bars for $539 at 45 watt/sq ft. That would give you a little higher w/sq ft than the QB at 37.5. I got 1 of the bars to supplement my QB build. You can do the QB for just under $500 including aluminum n such. IMO QBs are easier to put together than cobs or strips for DIY, fewer pieces to assemble. Good luck to you on this quest!

I think I'm going to hold off for now. I'll wait till I have a bit more saved up for a light. I'll just run the pair of 400 watt hps till winter time probably. Hopefully have more funds put aside then to build a killer light.
