LED/CFL Grow.

Hey folks! Well, I am about 45 days into flowering. I'm Currently using a 90w Grow Ufo, and some 14 watt led grow panels for supplement lighting. However, I am thinking about adding a couple of cfls to the light spectrum, but I am wondering--could the light of the cfls drowned out the powerful red and blue specs of the leds? Or, the more the better, or what? Anyone have any experience? All comments are appreciated!

Thus far, no :( My camera is broken, and I don't think my cell phone would do any justification.

im doing the same myself minus the panels i personally think they are crap, they use like 14 watts and very small leds, unlike the the 90w ufos that use 1w each diode.to answer your question the cfls would be fine ,no they wont drown out the led just add to it.unless you have a lot of side growth getting very little light i wouldt even bother with this.as you will just use extra electric and get very similar results, what you could do is take out the panels and replace them with the cfls if your set on it,they will do much more work for your plant

Light does not "drown out" other light.
I am not sure I can fully explain it even if I felt like getting into the concepts of photon charge...but let it suffice to say that you aren't actually losing any light if you have one that "outshines" another. Its simply a matter of your sensors (your eyes) not being able to detect the minor source in the presence of the greater source. Its still there, and its energy is still available for the plants...you just can't tell with your eyes.
