that's called marketing ..., I think the footprint does make sense, since the unit is so close to the canopy, compare the dropoff areas to the actual size of the unit.

what chips are you using ?????????????????????????????????PPFD per watt
1.35
PPFD per 4 x 4 grid
675
Not what everyone else is using... proprietary phosphor blend mA chips... full spectrum like BML but not like their larger chip sizeswhat chips are you using ?????????????????????????????????
This is a good spot to exercise transparency and diplomacyNot what everyone else is using... proprietary phosphor blend mA chips... full spectrum like BML but not like their larger chip sizes
ok lets be a little bit blunt and clear. Not what everyone else is using... proprietary phosphor blend mA chips... full spectrum like BML but not like their larger chip sizes
We understand we cannot please everyone so we offer 3rd party grids for photon output on a grid. Isn't everything else other than spectrum just noise?
Isn't everything else other than spectrum just noise?
Only micromoles and spectrum matter was my pointOnly spectrum matters? If that's the case, why not use a cheapo UFO with all those pretty colors for like $50?
Along with that question I ask before??Only micromoles and spectrum matter was my point
We are using Cree and Samsung in some new boards. We are always testing new toys.that's not the point, people deserve to know what they are buying .... you still have not told us what chips, only the brand.
When I buy a car the first thing I do is open the hood and look at the engine.
off the wall analogy
so should I buy a jeep cause it has an engine made by Mercedes even though its one of the crap engines that they put in taxis in south east asia ?
or should I buy a jeep cause it has a top of the line V8 hemi, that's been fitted with the best aftermarket parts ?
where is the beef ?
So I thought the PAR Mapping by a grow shop and independent company might be something of interest in supporting our PAR grids for the 500 since it was in question. So you're saying if I were to overlay Osrams standard ~6200k spectrum white against your "high desert" white...they would be significantly different...enough to claim propriatary custom phosphor blends??
And the day that any spectrum can make up for 30-60% less output...make sure you let me know that the universe is colapsing.
Not quite deflected enough my friend. So...it's not a proprietary phosphor blend of your own or it is???We use Cree and Samsung chips that is going to crush it... we punch our boards in the USA with highest quality components.
Intensity and quality Spectrum together... We also are testing new Cree and Samsung chips. The numbers don't lie... BML generate 1.43 PPFD/watt on their 638w unit. The PARForce 500 generates 1.35PPFD/watt, or 6% less.

I know no matter what I type you will be skeptical. I don't blame you there is a lot of RGB crap out there but we have pride. Metrics that matter.
PPFD per watt
PPFD per dollar
PPFD per 4 x 4 area
Honesty, I would recommend holding off for a few weeks until we launch our new grow light and take a pass on ordering our 500 for now even though it stacks up at the top.
In comparrison... BML generate 1.43 PPFD/watt on their Spyder 1200. The PAR-FORCE 500 generates 1.35 PPFD/watt, or 6% less. We have been testing 600-650 watt lights that will increase 4 x 4 grid numbers even more. Its all about the growers
