LED Companies w/ LINKS

I'm super curious to see the effects of all the blue and UV-A in ChilLEDs lights. I've recently been reading up on cryptochrome and their spectrum is really going to hit cryptochrome well. Many of the same flower triggering biological pathways of phytochrome are also triggered by cryptochrome (well, in Arabidopsis).

Hes completely reversed his ratios of whites/ colourz from his 1st generation diodes.

I think hes got a nice balance there. UVA is still a bit of an unknown. I ran it for a while after reading about the cryptochrome (think i even named my thread after it???) Didnt notice a difference now that i dont run them...maybe not enough diodes...maybe too much...(out of sync with the 'golden ratio') i dont know. Havent re visited.

Pretty sure i just wrote one of the most inconclusive paragraphs just then... ;)

just buy a lava lamp already,hippy :)

i have a good friend who ran blacklights under everything in 90s ...swore by by it and probably still practices it...full circle i guess.

Its Hippyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in his part of the world or his S key broke like 5yrs ago:)

never was convinced about UVa being worth adding indoors, neither did Kitehigh who spent his whole life on uv & cannabis

Article Makes sense to me & appears legit. I've always suspected UVA to be beneficially usable light. Why wouldn't it be, part of the Suns output & closest to the photosynthetic range.
Personally I feel replicating the sun w/ peaks is the way to go. Not just R+B nor just 450-660. Both of the above mentioned w/ UVA+B would be the way I'd think would be best. Pretty much what Chilled is doing IMO, maybe a lil more IR.

this was two gen6 each at 2000mA =180w, just cobs no red ... gg4 cut, last pic chocolope in soil, very frosty and yield ok

There are a few fixtures that are UL now. I do testing for some people and I've got some Cirrus Titans running that are UL and qualify for rebates, good results too. Makes them really viable on a commercial scale.
 
Question to nerdy people (and shot in the dark): Has anyone seen a journal article comparing the growth caused by red phosphor coated LED (like the luxeon posted by Robin) vs. red+blue monos?

I would be suuuper interested in that. These red phosphor coated LEDs seem to hit chlorophyll a and b really well and nail the Emerson effect well (in the way that Emerson actually tested - 680 and 700 nm). I have done some searches and can't find anything research-based on red phosphor coated LED plant growth...

My Hydroponics Hut uses the all in one spectrum diodes & Cobs. Vegg's great, Flowers like shit. Got me a $800 ProGroX5-500 that I can only use in veg now. Awesome veg light. I feel if the diodes supplemented white cobs it would be good. But it's all the same R+B, very similar spectrum to what's posted above. Comes w/ some great false claims though. If Robin was to get something like that for his QB (x3, 1 on each edge & 1 in the middle) as supplemental I would think they'd be useful, or for vegging.

Funny thing is, maybe not boards of them but a few other companies were using hard strip LEDs before next-light.
Like Smart-Grow Tech, Grow-Max ect.
Never knew anyone was claiming to be the original.
It's not like the original cob light comp. you love to follow. Hahaheehee.
Don't get your panties in a bunch, just messin witcha. :twisted:
