Hey Ill tell you one thing I'm not cheap by any means, I've spent a fortune on lights over the years....as many on here have I'm sure.... But with that said, if the return on cost is there I'm allll for it. I'll buy expensive things even in other aspects of life if its worth it. If you've done runs with and without them and the pontoons do add the weight they claim then that makes it more intriguing. I've been pondering the thought of induction or leds for some time now when it comes to my big flower room. I've done many smaller scale projects with many lights in my other areas to my grow room.
Summer is a bitch thru and thru for anyone I would assume, so been wanting to basically have a "summer room" via induction or led > and a "fall/winter/early spring" room with the cmh hps combo. Might put a poll up soon to see what the riu community thinks. As both options would be pricey, because indagro/pontoons or the leds of choice will obviously be apache or area 51 (no offense to other lights just don't see the potential on a bigger scale). I also don't think DIY will be cost efficient on a 6x12ft area. But open to suggestions

And as far as I'm concerned the Illumitex Horti line is completely under-spec'd to sell multiple LEDs. After running mine at 580mA (max 600mA) with active cooling they never get hot and it's not the BS240's superior cooling system doing that. Or the graphene they're mounted on. I bet they'll run with OK cooling up to 650mA. Maybe 700-750mA with solid cooling. The only thing to worry about is the tiny Zener diodes that are built into the Illumi package. I would be concerned about them. But that is one of the things I do like about Illumis. Each Illumi is really a tiny panel in itself.

Ya gotta buy F3s in bulk and DIY because Illumi's like the DS are totally overpriced IMHO. Still, I'd love to see one in action. Or even better their 10 degree whites. Mouser US won't sell less than 65 at a time last time I checked . Fuckers!
