Yeah..one thing about the guys diying..at least myself, I don't check companies sites other than when I see a interesting design. The lights I run are similar to amare in that I use t5 uvb tubes and monos with cobs. I was already running that combination a good while before amare came out. Took a look at the light once and that was about it...I prefer to run my own led selection.

You run DIY lights you built? I'd love to someday. Maybe next year. You guys familiar with the new BML SpyderX coming out? New comp. name. Yeah the Pro-8 is for high ceilings but the lens comes off to gain a foot closer. Inline too.

Looks like, this is a chinese company. Also they use mix of Cree COB and chinese crap COB. Also Cree CXA on their picture have silver contacts. Was CXA AB bin not gold contact? So they use older binning. So they also produce every Lamp you know. Like Kingspectrum etc.
I am sure this light is not high quality. People hear Cree CXA COB, and think if they look long enough on the web, they find a good and also cheap supplier. Not possible

From studying LED for months one thing I've noticed is all the shite companies advertising CREE. Sure, but their low-bin making them no better then EPI's. Watch out for that.

Then there is another very tiny Chinese co making

600 actual output w , 6 cob cree 3590's @
100w each from 489$

how much that cost to make..?

and please understand i am "just" posting these chinese cob units as an FYI

the contact said he could use 3590's at a chosen spectrum..

i dunno what bin or what diameter wire

or any other parameter that could degrade the performance
