Hey Big Smo! Glad to see your grows are still killing it. Was wondering if I could get some quick lighting advice. So I am going to be expanding my shed grow out of the tent next round and begin utilizing the whole shed. The Amare Tech light you recommended is doing an AMAZING job! The plants have been through so much stress lately, part of the reason I have been MIA, and the light is still making them look phenomenal. In the new set up for next round I will have a slightly bigger area to cover and maybe 1 or 2 additional plants. I was wondering what you think a good compliment light would be to give just little extra push needed in that bigger space? I contacted Amare but their SS150 is still almost 500 dollars. For me that is a little to much money to spend on a complimentary light. Not because it wouldn't be worth it but because my bank account wont allow it lol. Is there another small wattage LED or combination of LEDs you or someone on here can recommend that wont break my budget?

Great, very happy the suggestion is working. You picked up the se-450 right? Well for supp lighting the ss-150 is another great light and is absolutely worth the money. I'd send vic an email and I'm sure as a returning customer he would offer you a very fair discount. With the supplied brackets the smaller panels fit in nicely together. I'd say 2 of the ss-150's one on either side would make a pretty powerful rig. 6 medium sized plants, 8 medium to small plants. With just one ss-150 if say 6 plants.

Northern grow lights and cobkits have some very good prices on DIY stuff if that's your style. I'd be happy to walk you through a simple build.

So I got the SE250 instead of the SE450. They told me the SE450 would be to bright for my 3x3 tent and with the way this SE250 is performing I really can't complain. I would love to get two of the SS150s but I think they are like 500 so even with the generous discount he gave me last time, even one would be out of my price range. I am hoping for something around 250 dollars. Is that even possible or am I just dreaming lol? How much are these DIY set up and how difficult are they to construct? I don't have a saunter (that tool used for wiring... sorry my lack of electrical and construction knowledge is really shining through here haha) or anything at my house FYI.

Yeah, I love the SE-450's. I'm still amazed by it. have you seen my first thread where I used it against the Hydroponics Hut X5-500? That light put out 75 more watts & got spanked. Well, I'm the one who got spanked actually. The 450 yielded 11 more oz. the the HH. The 450 costed me $100 more. The comparison part of the thread is only 4-5 pages long. You should check it out when you have a chance.
Are you gonna do a thread?

11 more oz GOOD GRIEF! That is some amazing work by you hybridway. I got the SE250, only ever flowering between 3 and 4 plants and heat and space were an issue, and it has done wonders. I am SO impressed by this light. The amount of shit these plants have gone through with me having to figure out my set up while they were going is unreal. Every stresser in the book so I thought for sure that with the less wattage that the plants would have suffered. To the contrary the buds are amazing looking, super frosty, tight and dense, not a huge yield per say but considering all they went through I am surprised they put out anything at all. This light is kicking ass for me and my electric bill lol. About to expand my grow next round so that I can use the entire shed in the back and not just a tent in the shed. Should be about to flower 3 to 6 plants comfortably and I am about to get the SE220 or the SS150 CREE to compliment my SE250 now. Hoping that the extra wattage along with longer veg time will help get my yields up so that the weights can match the amazing look of these buds.

That's great to hear. Maybe get another 250. Each grow get another & H-Bracket them. Once you have 4, you'll have the best 1000w light possible.
You can fit 2-3 pounds in that shed right?

I am not sure what I can fit in the shed just yet. My end goal would be to get the right combination of lights and compost tea brews to get 2 to 4 ounces dry off of each plant. Taking into account I will be flowering 3 to 5 plants at a time with the SE220 I will have almost 500 Amare filled watts and I think that goal is more than reasonable. What do you think Hybridway? You think that is enough wattage to achieve my goal?

Yup! You'll easily teachbyour goal. As you get better n better at growing, you'll get more. I love those 250's & want some myself.
The good thing about our Amares is they are the combination of light! The only thing we need to desipher is what dimensions we want. No having to mix different lights like CMH's into the equation to achieve the full spectrum.
