Well a lot has transpired since I last posted.
Prior to being chopped 1-7, these gals were being kept in the dark two days on the 5th and 6th, on third day of drying today.
So as you can see I have since harvested the ladies under the 2 Onyx bloom lights in the North Wing and well soon know the dry yield obtained. Since I the vegged plants I have are not ready to go to replace these I've chosen to cycle out some moms that were getting tall and lankly on me.
These need some help but I figure better to get something out of them then let that space go unused. It's not a perpetual grow if flower stops.... my bad on clone production to available vegged plants ready to go. Something I need to work on.
Mostly had to do with being so consumed with other areas in my life something got put on the back burner and now I am scrambling to get my current clones into a healthy vigorous vegging state. I've got clones to transfer out of solo cups so I am not for behind in getting back to perpetual.
Mom's G13 (2) and Blue Cheese (2), Blue Cheese on buckets due to lower height. Put into 12/12 1-5-15
Now granted these ladies below in the south week don't have long left in flower (8 weeks Jan 28th) Pic taken 5 days ago on 1-5 4 weeks and 5 days into flower.
They are flowering under the 2 Area 51 lights, they are identical clones rooted from same mother and though they "vegged" for 4 weeks longer before getting there chance to shine under the Area 51's they didn't really gain any advantage more of a disadvantage in that they were somewhat neglected for they suffered a bout with mildew and began to show signs of nutrient deficiencies. We had a slight cold spell that brought all that on in the veg room at the time.
So when you see these gals in their current state from when they entered a big difference, I had treated with SM90 and Neem before moving them into the flower room and have top dressed with earth worm castings and watered. I've added some light feeding of seaweed extract, cal plus and molasses into their watering once prior to flower and once again last week in flower.
I am really liking how I am seeing the stalk fill up with flowers filling in. I should be able to get a yield comparable to the what I us harvested it not more because of the length of the colas for the number is somewhat less then I had with the ladies what just produced.
I am inspired to let the next set of girls below grow out longer branches to have even taller colas for I believe theses lights can provide enough usable light to grow colas at least 12 to 18 inches easily. Currently the tallest of these colas above just come under a foot and there is obvious not enough of them.
I am excited about the three gals I've got that are going through individual screen training. I've been able to train the multiple branches one a single plane providing the uniformity I will need with the space available. It will be hard to see any gaps between cola sites and I image I will need to do some serious removal of fan leafs to ensure light reaches as much of individual branches as possible. I've got these in 3 gallon pots verses 2 gallons I've been using.
Nonetheless I think you all will agree I have a thicker canopy with more cola branches. I've got a few weeks to allow them to grow up the branches to about 8 to 10 inches before flower, I am thinking they will get to 12 to 16 inches tall filled with flowers ...
