I read all 31 pages and still a little lost. From what m reading they are using a 50 watt such as http://m.ebay.com/itm/160927171811?nav=SEARCH
Now I don't know how that would work with one 50 watt driver. Would I use two drivers per 100 watt led? I plan on using CPU fans for each led.

Would I need a computer power supply for the driver or would Ac power work for it?
Here is the lights specs http://www.cree.com/LED-Components-and-Modules/Products/XLamp/Arrays-NonDirectional/XLamp-CXA3050

Nice find on the driver!

You can look at pct.cree.com to see a chart. It will show you what voltage you need at that amperage. I think you would be OK running that driver :)
I use the 4 3050 over four plants each in a 1x1ft scrogg net. Great results!

Must have large plants for 1 per plant. It is a 150 hps replacement for each light. I couldn't make up my mind between the 3050s and 3070s. I'm hearing these lights way out perform hps

Zacker +1 on a good find. Most drivers of this size max out at 36vF and we need slightly higher. This one goes up to 39 and that should do the job. I will test one out thoroughly and report back its stats.

Here are my plants. The one with the finger is BlueBerry Gum only 5 weeks in And the other is Critical Jack Herer and it is 4 weeks.

Here are some pictures :)

They are unorganized but I am sure you can figure it out :) The smaller two plants are my maui wawi that I had in the solo cup competition. I dropped out to transplant and see what they are really capable of. They have stretched almost the whole screen just in pre-flower stretch :)

So no one answered my question do you need 2 drivers per LED? The drivers are 50 watts and the light is 100.

And no one said anything would AC from a wall outwork or do I need DC power from a computer power supply?

Also should I just go with 3070s?

The max is a 100 watts for the CXA3050. most run them @ 50 or 60 watts. All the test numbers in the data sheet are based off of 37 to 42 volts driven @ 1400 mA. so that's basically 50 to 58 watts. So unless you use a a different drivers that's what your going to get out of the cobs. One Driver per a CXA3050. The Driver hooks straight up to AC power So no need for a DC supply except for a fan if your going to add one. Which i would recommend running a fan the cooler you keep the LED the better it will run.

3070 kinda up to you. There is no 2700k out there right now that i can find. You could go with the 3000k like alot of folks did. Also the 3070 was tested @ 75 watts with a max of 117 watts. If i got one i would be running it @least 75 watts. To do that you would need a 42 volt driver with 1.9 amps. 42 volts and 2 amps even better. I found one mean-well driver that would work for that but it was 45 bucks. I am sure there might be cheaper ones out there if you looked. Personally i believe the tested voltage and amp are what the chips should be run at. They are giving you the sweet spot of the led the perfect balance between efficiency and lumen out put.

I havent put my led together yet. I just got the CXA3050's and mean-well drivers yesterday. But i did buy some of the 12.50 drivers also. Not going to be here for at least another week or so. If you run the numbers on the two drivers they both come out as 58.8 watts. The mean-well is 42 volts 1400 mA so 42 x 1.400 = 58.8 If you look at the ebay special driver it is 39 volts 1500mA ( 1.5A) so 39 x 1.500 = 58.8. So really by the specs they are both the same. I just went with the mean-wells because i didnt want to have to wait plus they are branded so you know they have decent quality parts in it. So it was worth it to me to pick a couple up @ 20 bucks a piece.
