My guiding principle is: what's closest to the conditions under which these plants have evolved for millions of years?

Some guys like to think that incredible results are waiting behind some magic door. Longer light periods, heavy applications of fertilizer, defoliation, etc.

I like happy plants. In the real world, plants get a rest break from the sun. I've read that they carry out certain tasks in the dark that do not occur during daylight.

Subjecting them to 24/7 feels like cruelty to me.

A lot of plants even perform worse on a 24/7 schedule.

iirc peppers need a rest period, or they'll grow worse.

Ive never heard of an instance where any cannabis plant did worse under 24/7. You just get them to veg faster. They wont stretch as much in veg either.

And unless heat is a major issue which it almost certainly isnt, no downside to running the driver and cobs 24/7.

I think ill go to 18/6 then. Only problem we have frequent power outages here, up to 12 hours at least once every few weeks.
So the timers get off time unless digital with batteries.
