LED Flood issue

at least we need a new driver to see which part is faulty.
driver or led both is possible, the driver is here the cheapest part.

to know what driver they use, please count the dots on the led
in the direction of the arrow as shown in the pic, or make a closeup of the led.

Ib thought you could refuse to release payment for things on alieexpress? You have recieved faulty goods so i would be treating this the same as if they hadn't sent you anything personally.

These doods rep is everything to them remember.
 
Also, I didn't mention this..
After opening the back, I saw that the ground wire is not connected to anything.. could this make a difference if fixed (if it can be fixed)?
 
I thought I saw it not connected in the pics............yes attach your ground wire to the plug!!!!!!!
 
The ground is not connected to anything on the driver side. (visible on first pic)
I had the ground connected to plug on 2 of the lights, but didn't bother on the one in the photos.
 
i.e there is no ground input on the driver?

I really think you should be returning them man. unless you can't? they just seem fucked for no fixable reason (ie without replacing driver or led or both).
 
Yeah..

Well, i think shipping back to china would be about equal to how much this costed ($100ish)
So unless they pay full shipping, I asked for a partial refund so I could replace/fix myself.

So, I might try to repair one, depending on what they say.
Its 3 rows of 10 1w diodes it looks like. Can anyone provide direction on the type of driver necessary?

I'm not very savvy with things like this, but maybe a small fan blowing across the exposed driver when running? Maybe the air flow would help to keep the driver cool, because if they're all turning off it does sound like a safety mechanism.

If you're referring to me, then yes. Just offering a thought, because it sounds like an overheating issue. I agree a higher quality driver is a great option to test to see what's really going on, I was just offering my two cents.

Anyways, in the same vein as testing with a reliable driver, would using a multimeter to test the output of the current drivers be telling at all (for my own knowledge)?
 
next try, how much diodes are between the contacts were the wire are connected 3 or 10?
 
the LED chip is made up of lots of tiny little yellow squares

Guod wants to know, if you count from positive side to negative side,

How many yellow squares are in between , in the horizontal line?? (see guod's pic)
 
Hey guys, the seller got back to me and will send new 120v drivers for the lights... probably will take a while, but its nice.

I am considering using the lights right now, even though they are blinking, they would probably benefit my veg tent.
Could and damage be done to the actual LED chip from the constant turning on and off, or am I good to use for supplementation?
