Hi people, sorry I been gone for a few months. I have realized there is no end to this.

The plants in the flower room had an attack of the aphids or some other kind of insects and I had to yank them. Good thing I had those back-up clones. They are flowering now. I attached a few pics but this is the last entry for this journal.

The cabinet has surpassed my expectations. I can take a cutting and in three weeks have a 8 inch plant. Works fantastic! Its the veg machine.

First pic is of cuttings three weeks old on top and clones I cut tonight on the lower shelf. Second pic is of the flower room, plants are about 30 inches tall and we get about Oz of dried bud per plant.

So, Here I grow again!

Awesome stuff. I am trying to create a drip like yours with the two ways at each pot with a ring... how often do you drip? is it all day? I also can't figure out how to attach my pump to my hoses for the drip... any advice?

Well I tried both, 24hr and 30 min twice a day. I found if you want to build up a big root system then go 24 hr. The thing is you only want to water the roots. If you water a Rockwool cube that long your plant will die from lack of oxygen.

I put my cuttings in rooter plugs then when the roots pop out the bottom into the Rockwool they go.

I hand water the cubes every other day by dipping them into water half way for about 10 seconds this keeps the roots looking for water.

Once the roots have popped out the bottom of the Rockwool I put them into a container of hydroton. This is where it gets tricky, you need to give the plant enough water from the top to keep the plant growing but you don’t want to over water. One way to do it is water a corner of the Rockwool cube leaving the other three corners dry. Water 30 min twice a day and this will grow a plant to harvest.

Or if you’re growing a mother plant and want a large root system then do that for about two or three weeks then water just the hydroton 24 hours a day. Just don’t soak the Rockwool. It will be a monster.

Attaching the drip system is easy; most people use a small pump that takes a ½ inch hose.
Get some black ½ hose couple elbows and a plug. Run the line from your res to your plants and you poke holes and insert ¼ in fittings then the line to your plant. Sprinkler supply’s can be found at most hardware stores and aquarium supply store for the pump. 200gal per hour is a good place to start.

Nice grow! I dont mean to come off rude, I am just really concerned..... Have you not noticed all the algea thats growing? I would be very concerned about the algea. I am suprised you dont have more issues actually. If you keep light away from your res it will help stop the growth. All your equipment should be steralized often...I notice the tubes even had green algea growing inside them???

ALgea is a scary thing that can not only make you sick, but cause all sorts of disease......Algea needs light and a water temp of above 68f to grow........

Very nice grow cabinet. I am very eager to build mine as well. The metal locking cabinets are nice. What was the verdict on lights? LED's and T5's?
