Contact Rita Fang here. She can get you a two board set for like $430.
I would ask for the 4 board set though. Tell her you want to take advantage of the sale for $368 Shipped.
+1 on the Fotop boards, i friggin love them. We got 5 of them over 2x1.1m (about 6,5x3.5 in feet) at about 750w total, the intensity crush the 2x 600 super HPS that used to light that area. And very even spread!
4 boards would be a very tight fit, theyre tbout 3x1 feet in size. 3 is more realistic. But hey why not get 4 and youll find a place for the 4th one in vegg or something. Or sell it to a friend. Shipping is pretty pricey, about 120, so if you can find a use for a 4th one the price per board drops a bit.
If you want a shopping list id suggest:
3-4 Fotop boards in 3000k 80 cri, using samsung lm561c. We tested out both lm301b (superior but more pricey) and lm561c (not bad but less than 2/3rds the price, and the difference per board was minimal, but having 50% more diodes, and thus running the chips a fair bit softer seems like the way to go: more light per watt, better spread, less watts per board means lower temps and again better efficiency.
About 75$ each
1 meanwell HLG480H-48A - this item you can also get at digikey.com, i think its free shipping on orders over 60$. It means you wouldnt have to pay extra shipping from china, also if you ever have a problem you dont have to send it to china, you send it to US for warranty. I think its like 7 years warranty and not much price difference compared to china. I think about 130 bux. Driver comes with basic dimming to half power and adjustable voltage, using a tiny screwdriver.
2 x 5 way wago connectors (from china). For use to connect 3-4 boards in parallel. Shouldnt cost more than loose change
Recomendable: get about 20 x 2 way wagos from same alibubbas: the boards use push-in connectors, which means once the cable is in it can be hard to get out. Use a short cable between the board and the 2 way wago and fix the wago to the frame (easy to build from aluminium profile just need to figure out the size you want, drill and screw together using parts sourced locally) using superglue or something. This means you can remove and change cabling easy and also more impotantly: if you ever have a misshap and tugg on the cabling the force will got to the wago and not to the pushin connector, which is really the only weak part of the design and is likely to break if you pull very har har on it. Also use the last 2 wagos for between the driver side and the 5 way wagos for the same reasons as above, and between the driver ac side and a power plugg (you also need to get a plugg with cable, the led driver only comes with short cables, no plugg.
If you want one board for vegg or whatever: get another 6x2 way wagos, another HLG120H-48A for one board only, should give you about 150w power. Wagos are 2 for ac side, 2 dc side of driver, 2 on the side of the board for same reasons as mentioned above. You can build a frame or hang it as it is, but use more than just the 4 corner holes for hanging, they tend to bend if hung with only corner support.
Youd also need some 18awg wiring, soliolidcore is best for the pushin connectors and for dc operation.
Also for safety shrinkwrap all connections so its water proof and importantly ground the frame just in case.
And youre good to go. All connections are pushin or wago so no need to solder. Frame and wiring is easy to source locally. Youd only need some screwdrivers and a drill for the frame.
Remember growing with led is not like HID/Hps. Temps sould be between 80-84 at cannopy, a bit hotter to make up for no Infrared in leds. Nutes are similar, but defo get sone calmag if youre using RO or in coco. It might take one run to get it right. The most common beginner mistakes is light to close or overwatering.
Some of this might not make sense right now, but when you have it in front of you it will, i promise! And if not you can allways ask.
