However the 942 spec bulbs have a nice little spike in the UV range which is 'supposed' to stimulate resin production.CMH has a very nice spectrum at 4000k and will produce a very resinous plant but there are LEDs that can match it's quality too. 4000k CMH has less red which affects yield and more green than is needed.
Yeah, those are much better than even mid-range LED in my mind. 450~ for 315w that can do better than 1gpw is hard to beat by any companyHowever the 942 spec bulbs have a nice little spike in the UV range which is 'supposed' to stimulate resin production.
A lot of people seem to be really enjoying the agro spec bulbs though(3100k), I think it's going to be the new benchmark moving forward.
So when will be seing CMH with a deep red pontoon attached?CMH has a very nice spectrum at 4000k and will produce a very resinous plant but there are LEDs that can match it's quality too. 4000k CMH has less red which affects yield and more green than is needed.
I almost bought some 315's but LEDs especially the COBs are a better fit for my grow area, growing one large plant scroged in 3x3 tents. However the 942 spec bulbs have a nice little spike in the UV range which is 'supposed' to stimulate resin production.

I would also like to see a 4000k CMH supplemented with 630 and 660 nm LED but I really think it's hard to beat the simplicity and quality you get from high end COBs.So when will be seing CMH with a deep red pontoon attached?
Eh the sunsystem and cycloptics systems are super nice and probably the best bang for the buck.I almost bought some 315's but LEDs especially the COBs are a better fit for my grow area, growing one large plant scroged in 3x3 tents.

Wow, the arrogance of some people due to their own ignorance or dillusions of intelligence. How can you slam such an entrepreneurial venture? And how well is your light company doing, that's right, you don't have one. Hey, keep up the good work and good luck HB.Don't be hating on @SomeGuy... he's the very reason I got into DIY COB-crafting, which gave way to Heaven Bright. His fence post design was intended to save money, produce quality bud, and was overall brilliant in my eyes.
@bicit - Thank you for the kind mentioning. To add to the conversation, HB is currently open for sale, so Optic isn't the only COB-infused fixture producer out on the market.
If any of you we're wondering why there are hardly any pictures on the website for the Model-V fixtures, it's because I decided it would be best to open early before any name brands steal the show; I'll have photos of some, if not all, the Models uploaded next week, with a video or two!
Stay tuned and keep growing, folks!
Ok this thread was dead bygones be bygones don't come in here starting shit and then this last post grow up let it go if you have something useful then share but don't come here kicking up dust simply because you can i think your drinking to much hateraid because both your posts are crapHateraid flows freely I see. It's about choices folks. Just because something is good for you does not make it good for all. And quit with the keyboard cowboy crap.
this is for youWow, the arrogance of some people due to their own ignorance or dillusions of intelligence.
And I will be using Phantom Ballast's and Hortilux Super Hps bulbs, so no skimping on the hps side. So, what do ya want to see, a true side by side, cob vs hps in similar wattages? Well stay tuned, getting it laid out to fire up real soon...till then, keep smoking!
I always enjoy reading through these KIND of forums.. always the same arguments and regardless of facts, two sides find themselves headbutting one another.
The only thing missing from one side is personal experience, otherwise known as credibility, where as the other side bears this. I don't know how one can argue against something that they haven't themselves experienced or became familiar with. Now there would be valid a argument/discourse if both sides shared credibility pertaining to the topic at hand and one side was guilty of misleading or lying about what they truly knew but that clearly isn't the case here.
You know what the great thing about science is? It's true whether you believe it or not.I don't believe it. To many jumping on Blurple threads running down growers to believe. I think their is an agenda here. Don't matter. Don't care. Not gonna do COB. Weed can be grown for dimes a gram. Efficiency is not an issue. Period. It's just another method to pump and sell product to people who don't need it.
I chose other. Blurple. Specifically older Mars 3 watters. 90% of the RIU crowd is just plain too stupid to be giving advice. So I went against the popular opinion on RIU.You know what the great thing about science is? It's true whether you believe it or not.
