Those companies don't manufacture grow lightsYes ,for samsung diodes and inventronics drivers or meanwell driver brand . there are many brands on the market .
I mean the grow light brands made with samsung diodes and brand drivers , what kind of warranty they will offer ?Those companies don't manufacture grow lights
Grow light manufacturers do use their products.
If you are talking about a diy light, most drivers have some sort of warranty. I doubt samsung, cree, or anyone else would warranty a burnt out diode or strip.
You need to just research the actual.brand you are looking at. If you pull up the model, at least on the big brands, it will tell you right on the main page of that particular model. There are several led manufacturers on this page as site sponsors, I would recommend starting with them.I mean the grow light brands made with samsung diodes and brand drivers , what kind of warranty they will offer ?
HLG , grower choice spider farmer , mars-hydro.if you got one quality problem , how will they solve it ? refund or new units to send ?You need to just research the actual.brand you are looking at. if a diode goes out they will send you a new diode and instructions on how to repair yourself. that's terrible . HLG seems with good customer service .It's not about the components, it's about the company using them to manufacture them to sell.
Meanwell driver have 7 years warranty, or is it 5??
But that's no good to most people because you probably didn't buy the driver from an authorised dealer of Meanwell products.
A good company will offer a year or two or three on the light fixture.
A bad one will not .
However there are some companies that if a diode goes out they will send you a new diode and instructions on how to repair yourself.
Not good in my opinion.
If you bought a light of alibaba you might be expected to pay to return that light and maybe even its replacement shipping.
Then again some of those companies will just ignore you unless they think there's still mo ey to be had.
Theres now lots of hid brands crossed over into led, if they are known and you bought from a reputable source then expect reasonable customer services.
There's lots of good companies who stand behind their products .
I had hlg ship me a new driver out of warranty to the UK for free , that was on one of their original kits. They didn't have to do that .
I'd buy stuff on alibabaon the basis it's disposable and if you get better customer service than that then it's a nice surprise
HLG definitely has great customer service!.. I had a Meanwell driver glitching out on me after 3 years, and they sent me a new one overnight. Easy swap out.if a diode goes out they will send you a new diode and instructions on how to repair yourself. that's terrible . HLG seems with good customer service .
How do they cover the warranty if with the quality problem ? replace the new unit or new parts ? Alibaba with cheaper price , but it seems not good to get warranty to pay shipping if we bought products from them , the sellers take care the problem , not us .
i will say HLG has great customer service as well i had a few diodes burn out on a board 10 months into use and they sent me a replacement no questions asked just sent them a picture of burnt out diodes oh and FYI it was DIY build .HLG definitely has great customer service!.. How does any company solve a warranty issue? ... they replace or repair based on their stated warranty. If you have one led grow light failture , how will those led grow lights brands solve your problem , warranty problem.
Pretty much unless the Driver is supplied with the lights and you have to supply then yeah they are not replacing that for sure. How does any company solve a warranty issue? ... they replace or repair based on their stated warranty.
Your warranty is with the fixture maker you buy the light from. You are buy their light...not the components.
The fixture makers have their own warranties for components that is only available through the channel they purchased the components from and only to the original company/person who purchased it. Example... if your driver breaks and you try to go straight to Inventronics for the issue...they will tell you to pound sand and go to where you purchased it from.
Although i did switch out my HLG's 4 QB96 Elites per 4x4 foot print for Gavita Pro 1700e per 4x4 foot print .i will say HLG has great customer service as well i had a few diodes burn out on a board 10 months into use and they sent me a replacement no questions asked just sent them a picture of burnt out diodes oh and FYI it was DIY build .
