pound for pound LED is a wast of money might as well use X-MASS lights to grow sorry if i offend the LED using world but i hate them.

LoveWeed420: LED's work great, depending on the actual device. There are a shit load of imported LED's from China that are as powerful as your old LiteBrite.
There are some LED's that do work very well; the problem is that there's a plethora of vendors out there that try to pawn off their LED's as being the shit.. Well, chances are; they are shit.. *as per SickStoner; Most of the LED's out there are Crapola!*
Take a look at some of the LED grows here (Both as the main light and when used as supplemental lighting), PM the person who's journal it is and ask them directly. You will NO DOUBT get inundated with negative comments regarding LED's based on the aforementioned fact. *Example, 600W led 1/10 will be as effective if not more then a comparable HPS. All the others *cheaper models* are not to par.. *
I take it your situation *like mine* does not allow for a HPS light, may it be due to Heat, Space..etc...etc.. You have your reasons, I have mine. :>
As much bashing that LED's receive, in comparison; look at CLF grows.. You sometimes read "CLF's are shit, get a HPS. Your CFL grow will yield no more then 10 Grams...etc..etc.. "

first of all thanks all for your help. I was thinking about getting one 120w led and use some cfls as side lamps for only one plant for i have little space and the heat will be quite an issue if i use an hps. For that cost i would see if anyone had luck with it.
For that amount you could get so much more if heats an issue for that cost you could get a cool tube and fan.
Sorry for bashing led so much they just have yet to prove ANYTHING to the world of MJ

As mentioned, look up some LED Grow Journals; Touch base with the author and ask them for their opinion on the LEd they are using.
If you are looking for a 120W LED, expect to pay around $400.00 USD. Supplement that with CFL's and you will be good.
You will get what you pay for.. If you want your LED grow to be successful, don't half ass it. HPS lights are the same.. I've seen some SHIT on craigslist where I am that blows my mind. ($100 for a 600W HPS with reflector and Ballast. Yeah... there's a good deal.. lol...... )

hps is the way to go or cfls your just gonna waste your money man. if you want better production i go with a 250 watt hps thats what i use and its just a few dollars more then the 150 watt
