LED Grower turned HPS :) 400w custom cabinet & Aero rig

Hey guys Slix here again, back in the game after a 12 month break!

I have custom designed a cab and built my first ever aero rig, not sure if it fits the bill so please, as always guys let me know

Cabinet

1500h x 800w x 450d 16mm laminated chipboard
3 x 120mm 12V exhaust fans 88CFM each at the top
1 x same fan for cooltube exhaust
1 passive 90mm hole for air intake at the bottom

Light

1 x 400w Lucagrow HPS in cooltube

Nutrients

Dutch fest series A&B Veg and flower


Aeroponics setup

700 x 450 x 450 deep
submersible pond pump that seems to spray *enough*
3 x jet sprayers per net pot
6 x 80mm netpot sites
hydroton used as medium

Questions (for you all, some are silly, but I want to make sure )

I am considering adding a bottle of yeast and sugar to boost CO2 content in the cab, should I?
My aero box is made of cheap-shop PET (new, not recycled) plastic, could this cause a problem?
I have opted under recommendation to use hydroton pellets, do you suggest otherwise?
Is there anything I have overlooked in the design?
What is a suitable PH to keep the solution at?
what is the optimal temp I should try to maintain?

Curious why did you switch from led to hps? It's usually the other way around!

I can answer for ph in hydro you want it 5.5-6.0 and the temps I believe at 70 degrees not a 100^ sure about that.. It's been a while since I grew in aero. But I still have my system that I'll get to 1 day.

Hydroton should be good as well as your system. I also think adding the c02 like that would be a good idea.

haha, Ive opted for HPS because it provides better results, faster. simple

What do you mean by hydroton and my system gone? can you suggest a better way of doing it? the science seems so simple.

How would I go about seedlings in the setup? germinate in rockwool cubes then add the cubes buried in the hydroton?

are you going to keep the led as a side light or something like that couldnt hurt to have more light good.

As far as the seedlings yea id just germ em in a paper towel then stick em in a litle piece of rockwool jus big enough for the roots to grab hold of the stick in the hydroton and go from there.

Exactly.. You shouldnt have no problems doing this.

i had considered it but i dont have the room. also the temps are hard to manage for me as it is at this time of year where I am.

i will revive thread when im all planted
