So in the time I have been trying this LED thing I have gone from one spectrum to another and haven't found the right one yet. I do have to say that a single 100 watt COB LED chip will produce the DOB or integrated chip works also growing on a small scale I can play around a little more with less damage. Shown below are some led chips i've used don't ask me technical shit I can't answer it but what you see is what u get. What i use as lighting can be used in a micro or cab grow or small tent or closet grow, of course always room for mods. I've heard when it comes to lights to buy this light or that and as many when I first kicked off it was with cfl spirals hell I took an old big screen floor model TV gutted it and wired in vanity light bar using aluminum baking pans for hoods. Worked damned good Lol got some tasty but fluffy buds because of whatever; not intense enough light etc.Went from that to 150w HPS but due to space confinements being limited to 2'x2' or 4 square feet although I did have an excellent run using 3 150w HPS in a 4'x8' or 32 square ft plywood box i made. But as I decided to go smaller less obvious I dropped back to try the Chinese COB's using any 12v power supply with 3a ability and a DC_DC boost converter there are many and much more information on the internet. My interest is actual best spectrum so I'm sharing what I'm doing to see what happens and share that experience. So I have this area that's 2'x3.5' or 7 square feet, my plan was to SCROG this Burmese bag seed but it grew so fast and you know how it is when there's too many things going on so before i knew it, its going crazy.Oh by the way I grow in 100% perlite using Dyna Gro products. Anyway this freaking thing scared me in other words thought it was a male because it grew so fast! using the 100w cool white (CW) it went from the 3wk old image below and in 30 days to the other image using just a 100w DOB (integrated circuit) LED. I just switched over to a tri colored arrangement of 100w warm white(WW) 100w red and 100w royal blue because the 7 square footage requires at least 300w of lighting i read that somewhere. Image 20190408 is a fridge grow using 2 100w COB chips 2 WW and a 50w full spectrum LED that turned out really flavorful nice tight bud lights were about 8-10' from tops. Now to see what this spectrum will do I'm hopeful that the deep blue will keep things tight during flowering and I will post the results for any who view this thread. Hope its helpful although I'm sure everybody know's this already
