I wouldn't go off on that youtube video, but i have seen a full LED grow done with a procyon on another site, and the buds are smaller compared to HPS...but if you could somehow afford to run both simultaneously i'm sure you'd get better results. you should maybe start a grow with the hps & ufo and put some cfls in your veg room. might be a cool experiment...whats the worst that can happen? you'll get a dankier yield? might require some initial grunt work though.

I'm on the same page with you on most of that.

The one thing that I don't line up with, is everyone is complaining that you get a decreased yield with the LEDs, and it's true. No doubt. But I'm a personal grower. I usually yield more than I need anyway. I personally am willing to lose a little bit on yield to ensure my security. Less heat, less electricity, less problems at a cost of 1/4 the bud. You still end up with 3/4 your yield. I think it's a decent trade off. But that's just my two cents

In addition, I would love to see that procron (or however you spell it) work. I've always wondered how it compared to the UFO.

all ive seen from the ufo and any other led grow , is skinny fluffy buds , please prove me wrong , with a detailed grow journal or something , its ok talking all this 'leds equal a hps bull shit ' but lets see the proof , ive watched a respected old school grower who knows his shit try to grow a single plant under a ufo and it was pathetic .
btw your still going to use allmost as much fans as you will still need air exchange in your cab , exhaust and filter .........well actualy those skinny buds wont be stinkin your cab up to much lol

Is this seriously an arguement that LED's are better than HPS???I've NEVER seen good buds come from a LED setup. All hype. If you find a good bud that's grown under a LED UFO, post it, but guarenteed you won't find it.Maybe in a few years when the intensity is greater, but right now, complete waste of time.

ohh and btw check out who started this thread ..YET AGAIN SOMEONE WITH ONLY 1 POST . this advertising is getting tedious and i cant be arsed trying to stop people wasting there money anymore , at the end of the day everyone who has the internet has the same info as i do available to them so if they dont bother researching leds and spend 600 on a shitty led light then thats there silly fault .

Those LED Grow pannels are SHIT. Total Shit. Trust me, they don't use the right kind of LEDs. Long explanation made short, you need batwing style LEDs.

the only thing these are good for are decorations. i made the same mistake and bought some of these about a year ago, and learned the hard way. This was when the LED buzz was starting REALLY take off.

if you are even thinking about an LED grow your better start with the 50 watt panels...but don't take my word on those 50 watters, i've never used them.

I'm actually attempting an LED grow because i've been inspired by an LED grower from another journal. I have a 600watt HPS light and I can get a socket for 50 bucks, but the hard thing is wiring up my light. I've benn told I have to use a ballast, so I went to get one and the only had 400watt ballasts. The lady in the store was trying to talk me out of it and said I need control gears and fittings. FUK man, I just want to turn me light off and on when I want. What do I do with the ballast? and how do you hook it up so I can start growing? Obviously you dont just hook up a two pin plug to the socket and expect the light to work!!! PLZ HELP

u really need to get your facts straight, by what you are saying, you dont have a complete system, only a bulb? you can easily find what your looking for by searching

I saw a grow comparison on U-tube, led vs. hps. The hps produced more weight and took less time overall (veg:flower). Yes the led uses less but thats what you get less.

So f89kin what if its my first post in this forum?? I have been smokin weed for over 25 years and growing for several years... When did I ever say I am going to get massive yield from my led`s?
What I am going to get is a yield that costs me next to nothing to grow, I can grow sog and get more than I need for personal use. Thats all I grow for...
So....The sativa high.... fuck your mom too.... though I would personally never use such flaming on forums normally... people like you only piss folks off!!!

This video is 2-90 watt led non-tri band technology...***OLD TECH UFO'S**..If you buy 120 watt led tri band = an its a tad less then a 600 hps or buy a 300 watt led tri band = 1000 hps.... the 300 watt led was budding roses.. the light was 5 feed in the air from the blants..it was crazy!!! check ebay..buy a tri-band.. ...I am never going back to the old bulb and ballist !!! $30 month power bill...or $150 a month..is it hard to figure the savings?
People don't buy the old tech ones..with red and blue... I waited to buy and now I am a happy owner for 4 months now!

MY honest opinion as a life long grower/smoker is they are more than worth it .
As with any light you cant try to cover a larger space than intended or you wont get proper results. .

got any pic to prove it? NO? thought so:lol: just like everyone else who say LEDs are good and when you ask them to prove it they never can. Iv seen ufo grows and they are shit to say the least.

who said about its not the problem with the power of the HID its self ,its the fans that you need to cool the room? LOL 6" extractor fan uses around 50w fuck iv seen air pumps that use more than that! by the way the room you grow in should have the air exchanged 30 times every hour or your going to lose a lot in yeild because the Co2 is being used up and needs to be replaced not just that humidity will rise and we all know what that means no matter what light you use.

anyone show a worth while LED grow?? post it up we are waiting and have been for the past 7 years! LOL
