led making stems turn red

wtf is with this

i swapped my veg led 2 days ago as the one i was using stopped working randomly

since i changed the light my plant stems are going red . would that be something to do with spectrum change

Photos. Red stems Can be from pH issues, genetics.. ect

check you temps often is sap stalling in the stem or yeah even genetics

i cant get it to show up in photos and maybe its genetics as the one i have in flower is showing a few red stems but nothing like the red im seeing since changing light in veg

to me it looks like a calcium deficiency but with out the brown spots on the leaves

i feed cal mag with my base nutrients so it shouldn't be deficient

temps did drop a few degrees around 73f with around 45-50% humidity lights on and around 66f same humidity lights off so its allitle low

66f might be the culprit.

Some one else smarter than me might comment on led running cooler so less water evaporates so (higher I think) concentration of nutes in the soil

hmm im thinking its because i didn't change my res soon enough

i have been trying to only change my res every two weeks in veg instead of weekly because im never topping up to 80% by the end of a week

i wish there was something like a ph meter that could tell me exactly what nutrients are left in the water at any pacific time.

i feed my plants cal mag epsom salt and base nuts so im guessing shes easing something more then other nuts causing the red stems. its not like its a big problem. i just like my plant full green considering the mom in flower is full green

odd thing is the red does not really show up when i take photos. its a pink light so i feel like its the led causing the redness not what im feeding. i was using a vipar blurple light before changing it to a mars blurple both same watts mars being allot more pink. i know both lights are shit and belong in the bin but im working with what i have

Generally LED does not provide IR that warms the leafs that HID lighting does. It's the leafs temps that should be of concern and not so much the ambient air temps the leaf temps can vary from about 2F to 10F cooler than the air temps dependant on the amount of IR provided by the lights, forced evaporative cooling and respiration. This can affect nutrient uptake and other plant processes

My Banana Kush did this last year. I suspect it was related to high pH, but that's just a guess. I'll see how this new Banana Kush does now that I'm being careful with pH.

well one light had ir and one this one dont so could be it

ph can be a reason but im good maintaining my ph . running hydro i find its super easy to keep ph in check
