Led obviously....

Question I don't know about most people but I have a hard time grasping how to build a diy led from the descriptions here on the forum. Is there anyone on here planning to make a YouTube video for us visual learners?

yeah man me too... thats why im going the BIY "buy it yourself" method

individual chips seems OK but COBS throw me off a bit with multiple drivers

Just realized title sounds kinda assholeish not trying to be it sounded right in my head but not out loud lol

I know they explain it to the best of their ability but words are only words to me if that makes sense lol If i can see it an have some sort of visual to compare to my physical environment it would get put to gather in no time.

Well the bulk of building a DIY led panel is knowing how to interpret data sheets and some math ranging from basic arithmetic to calculus(depending on what you're doing). The main reason you're getting no replies is that video's are a weekly request and something that's already been done by many people building custom panels for aquariums and flashlights. They're just not going to hold your hand every step of the way.

Maybe ask some more specific questions? I'd suggest emulating a build that looks like it would fit your situation and get's results similar to what you desire.

spazatak- cobs are the simplest of them all. One driver per COB, A/Coutlet->driver->cob. If you need more light, simply add another driver/cob combo until you reach the desired levels.

Well that's not the answer I was looking for but it probably answered my question better so thx. I didn't think of replicating aquarium to my situation.

that's the bit I understand LOL...

What I don't understand (yet) is how to connect all those drivers to one power chord so that you you dont have 6 drivers all going to individual power points..

I read somewhere that the power chord has to be able to handle to current that runs through it from the power point to the drivers....


In time I will get there but there...just not quite ready at the moment....

I think that's my biggest issue as well that I have yet to see covered "maybe I overlooked"
