I think it's the way they grow under LED... not sure yet if it's a good thing or not but for the most part, what I have seen with LED is small bushy plants with big fat leaves.

Alright so it has been a while since i posted an update, but here it goes. I am now halfway through week three of flowering. I'll upload some photos of earlier veg. I am feeding the girls GH maxibloom at 2.5 strength because I kept increasing the concentration and no nute burn occurred. I water ever other day and feed every other watering.

These are the only photos i have of the veg. I am not sure how old they are, I think the WW's are about a week old.

Awesome job so far man! I hope to finish my LED setup soon, getting more and more excited after seeing how yours are doing in a similar grow. any idea what you will do when these puppies start to stink?

Thanks Partyboy, I should upload some recent pictures tonight. This grow has only used my 100w Blackstar LED and 2 26w cfl bulbs.this LED light is performing very well

do you think 2 cfl bulbs are necessary for such a small grow? i was thinking of just doing one each for vegging and flowering, with only one light running besides the LED. only looking to grow 2 plants in a pretty much equal space.

you'd be surprised how indica ALLEGEDLY pure sativa durban poison & burmese can look.

not all sativas have razor thin leaves. this isn't the broadest leaved durban i've seen and there's even stil pics of wider leaves online, but they don't link to full scale. i've grown very stinky stoner bag seed with leaves at least this narrow.


OH! THIS is what my pack of aborts and mutants that never made it past 2 leafesets was SUPPOSED to look like!


it was looking like your first leafset got trapped inside your cups and maybe the leaves got waterlogged, but whatever happened, it's growing vigorously now. older beans sometimes start a little rough too.

i wanted to see how you fit 3 plants in a tiny PC box even with LED lighting. i've heard of PC grows but never saw any pics. thanks for posting. it'll be interesting seeing you get a harvest.

well If i have the extra space in my case why not utilize it by putting in 2 extra bulbs. as for the smell, I have a gonzo odor eliminator which works really well actually.

hazey i have no idea what you are talking about in the first half of this post. But as for the 3 plants, I just shoved the 2 wws in one smart pot because that was the only container i had for them. That didn't go too well, because one plant is very small still as you can see. I plan on revegging that plant though, that is why I am keeping her.

LED looks very red and that may be why there is little or no vertical growth. I'd add a very small white cfl and you will go up as well, but not too fast. when its tall enough use the led only and there should be no stretch. Did you keep the fan on the pc box? its a good way to ventilate and you can shroud it with cover to stop light leaking in during flower. Nice one tho dude....

i was wondering the same thing too actually. i was looking at your initial setup and was trying to figure out which fans were for intake and exhaust

for a pc grow you will only need the pc fan and shouldnt worry about intake/exhaust etc. The LED will throw off very little/no heat.

The top 2 fans are exhaust, and the bottom fan is intake. The internal temp ranges from 85F during the day and 76F at night. On cool days and nights the temp doesn't get above 81F

I am now currently making a rubbermaid grow box. I chose to go this route because I am going to use my pc grow box for veg/ clone. I will most likely be doing a SOG with 6 plants in my grow box and cycle 2 out for harvest every 3 and a half weeks.

Today is the start of week 4! yay! The buds are starting to look really nice. I have determined the kandy kush will be cut dec 10 because I am going to hawaii the 15th and need to have it in jars before i leave. The white widow could be in 4 weeks, or up until the same day, depends if she is done or not. I fed them with koolbloom added to the regular feeding, hopefully it wasn't too strong. I will find out tomorrow I guess. My new grow box is looking awesome, still not quite finished, once i get my 12v adapter i will be set.

Alright, so the girls are doing fantastic.
Day 29 Flowering. The leaves look yellowish in the photo because of the lights, they are very green in person. =] The new box is clearly not done, i need to hang up the mylar as soon as i get it around tuesday.
