led question

I have a 8x4 tent but only running a 400w at the time thinking of adding a 130$ 300 watt led on each side would that be sufficient I'm not going all crazy amount just enough to supply myself and wife an entire harvest with out running out... I built about 15 systems and just decided I'm indecisive so bought a cloner it's up and running with green crack girl scout cookie and blueberry headband. Cutting only about inch or two when cut cuz plant was dying on first grow *soil* screw that my adhd and ocd can't handle the slow pace lol but this is my second grow and I finally broke down and bought a versa grow system.. should be here in about a week but i foucused to much trying to learn system and method and all the other info... So this time just wanna get some stuff done then master the craft while I'm already smoking at peace...so just a input or pics of references would be awesome or I'd rather not but would just adding a 600 to make it a 1k room with the ducting be better anyways...I'm good going either way but it gets extremely hot down where I live and I'm only gonna be trying to pull 3-4 foot max plants only or hell I don't know what to expect really..Here some current on built setup

One observation is those netpots, they have a small lip, and if the plants get much bigger they might move around and tip, or fall through, then things get messy.

I don't think you'll be happy adding on LEDs. I personally don't like them, but they do have their place. Most are only good for small cabs or tiny grows. The ones that are for larger grows are very expensive, and you'll notice the only people pulling good yields are doing scrog because they lack penetration.

I would add more or upsize your hps.

Thanks jiji I was thinking adding a 600 hps and another 250cfm in between the two light's so would be filter/450cfm/ducting/600w/duct/250inline cfm/400w/ ducting in the inner wall or into the spare room bathroom.. intended on both hps but kinda want to try a 400mh with 600hps also to mix spectrum also any knowledge over the rubber light proof ducting? Good with mufflers?silencer clamps?and where to purchase cheap? And any tips or ideas wanna suggest I'm open to all working suggestion and pics from anyone and everyone!

I have a few suggestions, what is you max LED budget?

The hard plastic kind almost like the galvanized aluminum but plastic I'd link but can't its on Amazon or even Lowe's websites also I belive . And for smoken I'd say I'd like to spend 300$ at most the Apollo600 is about 185. On Amazon with cool reflector that's what my eye has been set at have had zero problems with my Apollo400 so thinking adding it and permanent mounting up top give me a bit I'll find one of my spiral with all different kinds of drawings I have hundreds of sketches and ideas drawn up with cliff note I've been accumulating all parts needed slowly but surly just holding off not using them till I achieve desired parts to avoid half assing anymore or wasting even more money I'm a couple g's. Down for lack of knowledge and craftsman ship sad thing is that most of systems were correct just had a isssue and didn't know how or where to start diagnosis..lol that has changed I belive i have had zero issues to my knowledge plants seem strong and healthy and happy for the first time as well as my wife because I'm downstairs being dad and husband not upstairs for 1-2 days at a time playing mad scientist meets Bob the builder... Yeah, I guess I don't know what your talking about on the plastic ducting. Vinyl ducting, but its not rigid at all.

Obviously apollo isn't the best, but if your on a budget it certainly will work fine.

The heavier those plants are the more they are gonna fall.

The NFT design your planning I think is just going to set you back more. It will take a while to dial it in, if your willing to do that then fine.

Completely understand about the weight about plants .. that's why I purchased a system because its pretty obvious I'm not the best handy man and that like i mentioned I'm pretty sure I'm over thinking it well anyhow thanks for your time it was appreciated. also just incase I didn't mention the plants in the tub are staying where they are it's fresh clones going in to the tray..not the ones in the dwc.roots way to big to try and start that battle..imo because have aoutb4-5" ball already I will send some pics up tonight when I'm done 're directing fans and exhaust since its starting to smell not major issue since house on private community and in my own area upstairs I'n spare room but I personally don't want my entire house smelling like cannabis..again thanks for your time and I'll post pics before I crash out..

That big rootball was from a soil clone that was10" when transplant from soil to hydro..not to bad for my first time I don't think lol but yea I was working on finishing tent while others catch up in hight I'm almost done with my complete tent minus a 600 watt and replica system of which shall arrive tomorrow am plus tent is 6.5 tall try to max iy out lol

Well with a bit of careful bending and a few needed trims, you can easily scrog this, and use some cuttings for clones. In any case, looking good

Lol I took 25 clones off the 3 already that's how they left plus these were not the best cut all three of those should have harvested but just in second week of veg making sure everything was under control before sending to flower I actually ordering a decent well for me decent amount of seeds i think we decided on 30 seeds 15 strains all fem from castle marijuana they more pricey but selection enjoy better. Gotta re order the my Skywalker og and ghost train haze #1 not #8 but freeshiping on orders over 75dollars since I don't send to my house I usally make it count by ordering stuff I'm bulk... But this is my first hydroponics and aero grow and only 2 grow ever...but i know the plant itself well i believe been through more with her than anything

Transferring from soil to hydro is dangerous as pythium resides in soil.

A 4 gallon res is on the small side. You'll see how well it works, as far as water uptake-ph-and ec which might fluctuate a lot.

if you want led I wouldn't go with that panel. That will turn you off to led. Quality led is expensive. But does match and outperform hps at half the watts. But with better quality , color and THC. go to the led section. I stopped using hps years ago. I've been running led and Induction and haven't looked back. Oh and led is expensive upfront. In the long run it ends up being cheaper. Due to longevity and lower electrical costs. Best companies. Inda gro, apache tech, area 51 led, onyx (rapid led), ameretechnolgies, and DIY Cree cobs. Right now cobs are killing everything. Hps is old tech that was never designed for.horticulture.
